Cheydinhal is a city in the Nibenay Basin region in northeastern Cyrodiil, east of the Imperial City at the end of the Blue Road. The city is in the foothills of the Valus Mountains, with its architectural style influenced by the Dunmer due to its proximity to Morrowind.

The city is divided into two districts connected by bridges over a small river: the western district primarily features businesses and guild halls as well as Cheydinhal Castle, while the eastern district features private homes and the Great Chapel of Arkay. The Count of Cheydinhal is Andel Indarys, the only non-Imperial city ruler in Cyrodiil. The city features a large house hosting extravagant weekly parties and a secret sanctuary of the Dark Brotherhood.

For more information about Cheydinhal, see the lore article.

NotesEdit

  • In the CheydinhalNQDScript, which contains values related to local rumors, the first name Hallgerda is found; this name does not correspond to any existing NPC. Related rumors also do not exist, but the naming convention suggests the NPC would be a female Nord. Their intended role is unknown.
  • Cheydinhal also appears in ESO.

BugsEdit

  • It is possible to climb over the city walls and out of the city. See here for details.
