Magicka/Stamina Cost is based on a character of Level 50 Champion Points160. Damage values are based on Max Magicka/Stamina 7958, Max Health 8744, and Weapon/Spell Damage 1037.
Strife: Steal an enemy's life force, dealing [1999 / 2020 / 2041 / 2065] Magic Damage and healing you or a nearby ally for 50% of the damage inflicted every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
Funnel Health: Steal an enemy's life force, dealing [2067 / 2093 / 2115 / 2137] Magic Damage and healing you or 2 other nearby allies for 50% of the damage inflicted every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
Swallow Soul: Steal an enemy's life force, dealing [2789 / 2820 / 2851 / 2881] Magic Damage and healing you for 35% of the damage inflicted every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.

Strife deals Magic Damage to enemies and over time returns a proportion of that damage to you as Health. The Funnel Health morph also allows you to heal one ally in addition to yourself, while the Swallow Soul morph increases the damage but reduces the healing effect.



Patch NotesEdit

* Fixed an issue where the red glow from this ability would last longer than intended.
* Swallow Soul Rank II: This ability is now properly considered a Siphoning ability.
* This ability now always heals based on the initial damage caused instead of other attacks.
* Swallow Soul: Fixed an issue where this ability's healing effect was playing on enemies.
* Swallow Soul: This ability now grants the Minor Vitality buff and heals the caster. This heal will scale with the amount of damage dealt.
* Abilities that heal based on their damage done (Strife, Puncturing Sweep, Surge, etc.) will now properly calculate their heal values when the damage is fully or partially absorbed.
  • Fixed an issue where you were able to dodge the friendly heal from this ability and its morphs.
  • Funnel Health: Reduced the application of the heal over time to you and one additional friendly target, previously two friendly targets.
* Strife: Increased the cost of this ability and its morphs by approximately 38%.
    • Developer Comment: We increased the cost of Strife because it was so much lower than other similar abilities, such as Lava Whip or Force Shock, while also providing a significant heal. Note that after the cost increase for Strife, it is still much lower than these abilities. This change, along with the changes to Elemental Drain and Siphon Spirit, are targeted at getting players to pay more attention to their resources.
* Fixed an issue where the heal over time from this ability and its morphs would still apply to you even if the enemy dodged the attack.
* Increased the cost of this ability and its morphs to 2700 Magicka from 1891 Magicka.
    • Developer Comment: This change was made to put the Strife ability cost more in line with other similar types of abilities, such as Force Shock.
  • The animation from this ability and its morphs now plays faster, which should make it easier to weave with Light Attacks.
* Reduced the damage done by this ability by half, but it now also heals for 50% of the damage done and can now target you or any ally. The total healing amount remains unchanged.
  • Swallow Soul: This morph now doubles the damage, but decreases the heal to 35% of the damage done and can only target you. The passive Minor Vitality effect has been removed.
  • Funnel Health: This morph will now always heal you in addition to an ally.
    • Developer Comment: For the Swallow Soul morph, we wanted to retain the current functionality of dealing high damage, while also providing healing utility to yourself. The amount of healing provided to the group with Strife was so high that there wasn’t enough tradeoff with the morph choice. Now you can still get that super powerful group utility as before, but now it comes at a cost of reduced damage.
