Died on the 8th. Sorry if this has been raised before, was wondering if UESP were going to put up a tribute. Corvus 00:33, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
- If nothing else, we can add it as a news article on the front page. If you feel up to writing one (typically just a paragraph), you can submit it at UESPWiki:News#Proposed News. – Robin Hood↝talk 01:07, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
MMO Rumors?
why are we posting Rumors in Latest News I thought that only facts got put there? John142 22:11, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Only news gets put there. Whether the news is fact or not is sometimes anybody's guess ;). –Eshetalk 22:15, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- The facts are that there are rumors. To properly explain this, we need to state the rumors. How's that for roundabout reasoning? In all seriousness though, we post anything that has some type of source that is important and has to deal with the Elder Scrolls.--Ratwar 22:17, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

next DLC info?
http://www.gamesradar.com/skyrim-next-dlc-might-be-called-dragonborn-might-feature-dragon-mounts/
another case of "latest patch contains files (and therefore info) for future DLC" I don't know if this should make a frontpage news since it's not official, but such things proved thruthful for Dawnguard so...? — Unsigned comment by Pizza boy (talk • contribs) at 19:29 on 16 October 2012 (GMT)
PS3 DLC
Pete Hines has tweeted that they are close to having DLC for PS3 and PC, good news for the many PS3 fans, although he doesn't specifically mention Dawnguard or Hearthfire. I think this should be in the news section of the main page if somebody wants to add it. RIM (talk) 09:44, 8 November 2012 (GMT)

Skyrim 1 Year Anniversary
Nothing on the homepage commemorating the 1 year anniversary of Skyrim's release? LoveWaffle (talk) 05:14, 13 November 2012 (GMT)
- Why bother? The release date, in and of itself, is not noteworthy, unless something interesting happened today to coincide with the release. ES(talk•email) 05:23, 13 November 2012 (GMT)
- Plus we already missed it by 2 days. Not that it really matters or anything. TheRealLurlock (talk) 05:33, 13 November 2012 (GMT)
Black Friday deals
There are three Skyrim related Black Friday deals (-33%) on Steam (November 22 - 27):
Skyrim for $40.19 instead of $59.99,
Dawnguard for $13.39 instead of $19.99,
Hearthfire for $3.34 instead of $5,
We could mention this one the front page (till 11/27). --Arkhon (talk) 04:27, 23 November 2012 (GMT)
Dragonborn release and PS3 DLC

Misleading link titles
I popped onto the page to find a link to All Content, since I didn't remember that was what it was called, and after glancing around, I saw that it was the "All Elder Scrolls Games" link, which goes to "All Games" and redirects to the page I was looking for. May I propose that the text creating the All Games->All Content link mess be changed from "All Elder Scrolls Games" to something along the lines of "All Content" or similar? It really hurts our navigation to that page and the links to each game and our miscellaneous namespaces, like Lore, Books, and General, if you're seeing a link titled "All... Games" but nothing else. I've been here for a year, and even I struggled realizing that link went to where I wanted to, since it doesn't appear at a glace to be right.
The link, I think ought to be fixed promptly, being as misleading as it is, and as a slightly lower-priority project, how about a reorganization of the entire main page? It's been like it is for as long as I can remember, and while it isn't bad, it's not exactly pretty either, and it could use some reorganization to help with navigability. Like I said, a veteran user was lost navigating the thing, so that says something about how the page looks. Just a brief thought. Snowmane(talk•email) 01:46, 6 January 2013 (GMT)

Several of Bethesda's soundtracks are available on iTunes, including the Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim soundtracks. (They are still on available on Jeremy Soule's website as well, https://www.directsong.com/mobile/index.php?menuid=4 . Legendary difficulty setting
Legendary Skills – Skills of 100 can be made Legendary. This will reset the skill to 15, return its Perks and allow the skill to affect leveling again. This effectively removes the overall level cap.

Firefox issue
Using the latest version of Firefox with a few popular add-ons, neither www.uesp.net nor http://www.uesp.net are redirecting me to this page. It just stays at a blank white screen. Cleared my cache, restarted the browser, nothing seems to fix it. It works fine on Internet Explorer, though. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 07:07, 17 August 2013 (GMT)

Thumbnails/Photos
Not sure where this should go, but there seems to be a problem with all of the photos on the wiki, I get this error "Error creating thumbnail: convert: unable to open image `/home/uesp/www/w/images/f/f9/MW_Map_BitterCoast.jpg': No such file or directory. convert: missing an image filename `/tmp/transform_246625-1.jpg'." etc. Has anyone else experienced this, if it is only me then forget it, but just bringing it to your attention Emzi43 (talk) 20:13, 25 April 2014 (GMT)

Featured Article Links Wrong (Remove when is appropriate)
The current Feature Article is on the Tiber Wars, but when you click the 'More...' link, it brings you to Thonar Silver-Blood's page. Just something that can easily be fixed, I'd say. Piffinatour (talk) 06:11, 3 August 2014 (GMT)
FA Update Revert
Dark Brotherhood
Add Dark Brotherhood news item? SirEricTheEuphoric1 (talk) 23:26, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
- Not every post on the ESO site gets a news post here. We'll likely post when it comes out, and if any new DLC are announced, but we generally don't post a news item every time they release more information about an already announced DLC. Jeancey (talk) 23:30, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

New News or Updated News?
So http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2016/06/21/update-11-featuring-shadows-of-the-hist-first-look is a thing. It should probably be added to the current news article or get its own piece as it confirms what's said in the new section as well as revealing some more details.. - KINMUNE TALK 05:36, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Probably better to wait for the actual announcement like what we did with Orsinium and TG. The reveal doesn't have pricing or anything. —Legoless (talk) 06:14, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

Typos
"Latest News" for Oct. 26 features several typos, including the misuse of "disc" in place of "disk," which is the correct spelling when referring to hard disks. --Tingz0r (talk) 21:10, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
- Individual news articles aren't protected. Feel free to edit them and fix any typos you find. While "disk" is the more common usage, "disc" is not unheard of. That said, I'd still go ahead and change it to "disk", since that's probably what most people expect to read. – Robin Hood (talk) 23:15, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
-
- Ah. I didn't realize you have to go to the specific UESPWiki:News section to edit them. I'll do that from now on, thanks. Fixed the rest of the typos you missed. --Tingz0r (talk) 23:53, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Wrong Date
Just wanted to point out that either the news item for "February 1, 2018" is out of place, or it's supposed to read "March 1, 2018". :D Seriously though, can anyone edit the "latest news"? I can have this fixed in two shakes of lamb's tail (when you grow up with a mother who's your elder by 40+ years, you learn some old sayings) --I'm an Autistic Fanatic! | Are you a Fanatic, too? | What have I done?! 14:03, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

Frontpage Additions
I like the new additions to the Main Page, but I have two comments:
I would put the search bar above the Elder Scrolls Games
header, as it searches the whole wiki, not just Elder Scrolls Games
I would sort the games ascending, not descending, by release date. Feels more natural to me.
-- SarthesArai Talk 12:47, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- I second SarthesArai's suggestion of putting the games in ascending, rather than descending, chronological order, for the same reason. I think it would look better and provide a chronological history of the Elder Scrolls series of games. — Wolfborn(Howl) 22:01, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
-
- Agreed. I would also move the welcome message below the carousel. The page looks a bit broken otherwise. I also think it is a good idea to move the "All Content..." link to the end of the of the "Lore, General Books, Mods" sequence instead of below it. Now it looks a bit hidden away as an afterthought. There is also something to say to add Merchandize in there as well. — Unsigned comment by Ilaro (talk • contribs) at 15:39 on 4 September 2021 (UTC)
Patreon "news" distracts from actual news
Could the Patreon segment be moved somewhere other than News, or even removed altogether from the Main Page? It's distracting, and it has caused me personally to miss actual news many times because I just skim over the page. For months I didn't even notice that the Patreon segment was always on top, so I just assumed there was no news. I've brought this up on Discord before, but I think it's best to bring it up here as well. Achernar1 (talk) 12:06, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
- Perhaps the Patreon item could be permanent at the top of the Featured column rather than the top of the News column. --Enodoc (talk) 12:38, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
-
- Good idea! I've moved it above the FA article for now but we'll probably move it around depending on the time of year. We'll probably also post news articles about Patreon stuff but only as regular news articles and not pinned to the top. -- Daveh (talk) 21:00, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- Right side looks better, but it takes up a lot of space. Maybe the bullet list of rewards could be turned into a dropdown box where you press "expand" to show everything. It could also fit with the "Support UESP" tab, though its very far down. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 03:46, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
