The reason why, we shouldn't be linking Shane to Sheogoraths page.Edit
While I do agree the book could be an easter egg towards Sheogorath and was a play off his name, maybe something that could be a note. Unless there is clear and undeniable evidence, in the form of an actual source that said Sheogorath wrote that book, then we shouldn't be linking back to the page and the weird name alone doesn't cut it as being proof. Shane could be any Orc who has a weird name for all we know, who could have worshiped Sheogorath and was a madman, doesn't make him a Daedric Prince. — Unsigned comment by TheVampKnight (talk • contribs) at 22:58 on 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- By the literal subtitle of (Clever, no? Ha, ha!) next to the name Shane gro-Orath its instantly apparent that its an alias, not a real name, no author puts that next to their name. I hate to break it to you but Sheogorath isn't going to randomly say "oh by the way, I'm that one author of that book you might've read", since books are hardly referenced that way. If we only allowed 100% definite confirmations to be documented we'd have to get rid of half the stuff on the wiki; I'd give you other examples but I know you'd just contest those too. Shane gro-Orath is not a real name, please don't make me explain this stuff again, it takes way too much energy from me. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:12, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

- I'm well aware of that being weird, and yes its an alias most authors use pen names and yes its not a real name, and while it very likely is Sheogorath. I still don't think we should linking back to his page. Its questionable at best, because then we are saying for a fact it is Sheogorath, when we don't know for a fact it is or not. Even if it might be obviously pointing or hinting towards that being a thing doesn't mean there is another explanation for it that is possible. Like its very possible the Author was a worshiper of Sheogorath and he used Sheogoraths name in his pen name. The Author was likely an Orc because he used an Orcish type of name and he could have put that oh this is clever as a way to say oh I merged the name of the god into my pen name and now I'm a madhat level of genius.TheVampKnight (talk) 05:29, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

- It is a wiki practice to sometimes use common sense. Complete and utter confirmation of all info on the wiki will never be possible, if that was a strict rule then we'd have to remove every hyperlink on the 36 Lessons for assuming too much; hyperlinks like the one I had on Shane gro-Orath are merely added by the wiki to clarify things faster for editors who don't pick up on it. Please avoid rambling to me, I and many others have very little patience when dealing with you and you have a knack for not backing down on matters where you are incorrect. I've opened up a talk page where this can be settled, please try not to leave me any more messages. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 07:04, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

ASCIIEdit
Hi Rim. Be careful that you are using the ASCII apostrophe '
on the wiki rather than the single quotation mark ’
. This is particularly important for article titles such as ON:Shipwright's Regret. —Legoless (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- yes sir my bad. I was just copying the text directly from the website, I was unsure which one to use so I avoided making the page. thank u for clarifying 🙏🙏 The Rim of the Sky (talk) 01:33, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Source for Info?Edit
Hey Rim, I was just looking at this edit and I'm wondering what your source for that was. Like the person who reverted it, I can't find anything on it, but I don't want it to be reverted if there's a legitimate source for it somewhere that we just didn't find. Thanks! – Robin Hood (talk) 18:31, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hey Robin, thank you for being so polite! I talked to the person who reverted it and agreed with their decision. This was just an honest mistake on my part as I misread something, and thought the article for "Biography of Barenziah" was just the Daggerfall version of "The Real Barenziah" and got the two mixed up. You see, the article names for all Real Barenziah/Bio of Barenziah books are very messy and vary in both lorespace and individual gamespaces, having suffixes like (Daggerfall), not to be confused with the namespace "Daggerfall:", even the volumes vary between being spelled like "Volume 5" and "Volume V" etc., its a lot of info to take in. With such similar names/content you can understand why this happened, just simple human error and we all make mistakes by accident. The rest of what I added was backed up by plitinius' dialogue.
- Tribunal namespace in general needs a lot of work, and there's still a lot of missing/incorrect info and outdated writing on pages in that namespace I never touched, at the time I was trying to fix up pages that I could with improved info. In one case I rewrote Tribunal:Sotha Sil, which if you look at the talk page had its fair share of problems. Using info and dialogue solely from Tes III: Morrowind (which can be found easily thanks to the wonderful CsList plug-in!) I was able to fill the page with accurate info and have it comply with updated guidelines, just as one example. Thank you for asking me, I hope this clears things up, and I appreciate it! Fantastic Catch!Edit
You have been given a Watcher's Eye! This Watcher's Eye was awarded for your exemplary patrolling of Lore:Goblin. A masterful example of stopping inaccurate information before it can take root! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 18:44, 19 February 2023 (UTC). |

Descrption with GorneEdit
Creativity in regards to describing places in-game is not a strong suit of mine, and I tried. Thanks for doing a better job with that than I did. Oath2order (talk) 08:43, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hey don't worry about it! Honestly I'm just glad somebody got around to making those location pages, so thank you a ton for doing that! :) Place descriptions are tricky as hell sometimes, and some of them are hard to describe to begin with, so it ain't no big deal The Rim of the Sky (talk) 22:06, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
Conjured Wisp ConfusionEdit
Hello! With regards to the Eyevea/Guild Conjured Wisp, the only place I see it listed as "Eyevea" currently is on the web version of the Crown Store. In the in-game Crown Store as well as on the Collections menu, it is listed as "Guild." (I accidentally uploaded the promotional image as "Eyevea" and the main image as "Guild" before I realized what was happening.) I thought I'd check with you before fixing it as you're the one who redirected the "Guild" page to the "Eyevea" page; although, to be honest, I think it should be reversed. Unless it's different on another platform (I play PC-NA), I don't see anywhere actually in game where it is listed as "Eyevea Conjured Wisp." Kallykat (talk) 02:23, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ah thank you for letting me know, I knew something was off. I'll look into it and get back to you. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 06:18, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

- Alright so after a couple of updates it seems the Guild Conjured Wisp was called the Eyevea Conjured Wisp on the PTS, but this change didn't make it to live. On top of that, a pet codenamed "golden wisp" has now been given the name "Eyevea Conjured Wisp" instead. I've now updated the page to reflect this 👍 The Rim of the Sky (talk) 01:47, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
Online:Goblin Totem (Collectible Furnishing)Edit
Hi Rim,
I am wondering if you can share where or how you got this furnishing? I have completed the Quest on 3 different characters and have never received a Collectible by this name.
I cannot find it in the Log Viewer either. Do you have this item? Might you be able to placed it in your House so I can view it?
TYSM in advance. Erorah (talk) 23:40, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Erorah! This item was only previewable in the collectibles tab due to a bug in Update 42 that put it with other collectible furnishings. They recently patched it out and fixed it so now it doesn't show up I'm afraid. It exists with a couple other items in the database that also appear to be placeholders, but are otherwise unobtainable. You can't get it from the quest, the asset is just used for an item in said quest, I've reworded the page to clarify this.
- Thanks for asking me for further info, I hope this helps! :) The Rim of the Sky (talk) 08:48, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
Graven Deep LocationEdit
Your edit seems to be the earliest instance I can find of this detail: https://en.uesp.net/w/index.php?title=Online:Graven_Deep&oldid=2650572
Do you remember what the source is for Graven Deep being located southwest of High Isle? Mindtrait0r (talk) 23:22, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- The physical location of the player marker when in the dungeon. Positions of map markers for teleporting into the dungeon on the map are switched for that dlc, so Graven Deep map marker is closer to Earthen Root Enclave player marker when in the dungeon.--ErfXploded (talk) 00:44, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
-
- Yup, what Erf said, the marker has been placed there since the PTS. I don't know if they've changed it since then, as they sometimes move them around, but last I know that's where it was. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 08:48, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
Lore:AstronomyEdit
I've removed your WIP tag from Lore:Astronomy since the page has continued to be heavily edited since you placed it on the page. Not sure if you have an active sandbox for it? —Legoless (talk) 10:54, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- Nope, no sandbox, I just added Template:Wip to the page on behalf of other editors who were working on it at the time. I saw no reason to remove the tag until a lead paragraph was written, but it seems we at least have a lead sentence added today, so I guess we could expand a bit more on that and summarize what the page covers in detail. Its okay to remove it. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 18:11, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Telvanni archmagistersEdit
Hello, why did you add "Vvardenfell Chapter" to list of known archmagisters on this page - https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:House_Telvanni ? Afaik all the Archmagisters we see rule over the entire house, not just Vvardenfell. Do you have any sources that "Vvardenfell Chapter" even exists? — Unsigned comment by Tvsmsa (talk • contribs) at 11:29 on 9 October 2024
Mod HeaderEdit
Hi, just wanted to get ahead of it, since I reverted the changes you had made to mine on the Falmer pages I edited. I'm not exactly sure what you mean with the edit summary you left, since even before I started editing, and have been doing for the past few weeks with no mention of this, Mod Header is used to state which DLC introduced the NPC, my example of this that I used to realize this initially being the River Troll page. Afterward, if NPCs are found in other locations, they are either put in the main infobox or the generics table, and adding the tag for the relevant DLC next to the location, which acts as a Mod Note equivalent in this case. --Lexion (talk) 05:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
