A green Gargoyle

Gargoyles are a race of powerful living golems that often remain in stationary statue positions before revealing themselves for combat. Sandy gargoyles are often found in Hammerfell, though green-skinned gargoyles can also be encountered under the control of vampires.

There are four gargoyles at every Anka-Ra Burial Site in Craglorn. After three waves of enemies are defeated, two of the gargoyles awaken and walk slowly towards the Star-Gazer Priest. The gargoyles do not fight back, but they must be burned down to prevent them from reaching the Star-Gazer. If the gargoyles aren't killed in time, they'll unleash a powerful ground pound and kill the priest.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit

Double Swipe: The gargoyle hits the target twice with its claws, dealing moderate physical damage.
Lacerate: A melee ability that deals low physical damage and may cause bleeding.
Quake: The gargoyle slams its fists into the ground five times, causing tremors in a medium-sized AoE that deals moderate physical damage to all standing within range.
Petrify: The gargoyle glares at a target, turning them to stone and snaring them for a few seconds. Those affected can break free. This attack can be avoided by rolling.
Heavy Strike: The gargoyle winds up its arm before slamming it down. Knocks you off balance if it lands successfully. Can be blocked to avoid this effect.
