Dushnikh Yal — A prosperous Orc stronghold in the southwest of Skyrim, southeast of Markarth. (map)- Largashbur — An accursed Orc stronghold beset by giants in the southeast of Skyrim, west-southwest of Riften. (map)
- Mor Khazgur — An Orc stronghold in the far northwest of Skyrim, west of Solitude and north of Markarth. (map)
- Narzulbur — An Orc stronghold in the northeast of Skyrim, southeast of Windhelm. (map)
Blood-KinEdit
Only Orc characters have immediate access to the strongholds unchallenged. Characters of any other race must first become Blood-Kin of the Orcs before being welcome in the strongholds. You can enter a stronghold without being Blood-Kin, but the residents will continuously tell you that you are not welcome, and you will be unable to trade with any merchants in the stronghold.
Several quests fulfill this requirement. Members of any stronghold you approach may give you the quest The Forgemaster's Fingers if you have not become Blood-Kin already. Alternatively, completing any quest listed below will make you Blood-Kin. Upon first completing one of these quests, the grateful Orc will say, "For your help, I'm sending word to the Orc strongholds that you're to be trusted. You should be welcome there now.", signifying that you are now Blood-Kin.
