Online:Patch/6.2.4

< Elder Scrolls Online: Patch

Released on Oct 19 2020. (forum post)

The Elder Scrolls Online v6.2.4 is the final PTS patch before Markarth launches for PC on November 2. We've activated a new event for testing this week – the Tribunal Celebration – and have several more fixes for Vateshran Hollow, Markarth quests, Item Set Collection, and more. There is no character copy for this patch, which is approximately 222MB in size. Thanks for all your feedback during this testing cycle!

New Features/Updates/Big ChangesEdit

Tribunal CelebrationEdit

Return to Morrowind and the Clockwork City! This week's test features a dual DLC celebration that allows you engage with content from either zone, offering rewards themed for all three of the Tribunal deities.

  • You may earn 2 Event Tickets each day.
    • One of these tickets comes from completing any Vvardenfell daily quest (delve, world boss, Ashlander, etc.) and the other comes from any Clockwork City daily quest (delve, world boss, Slag Town, etc.).
  • The first daily quest you complete each day (which can be from either zone) rewards you a Glorious Tribunal Box.
    • This valuable reward contains an assortment of tantalizing Tribunal treasures, treasure maps, item set pieces from those two zones, and a guaranteed motif chapter, runebox, or pet fragment for one of this event's rewards.
    • Additional completed dailies will reward a slightly-less-valuable Tribunal Box, which has a smaller chance to contain that last category of items rather than a guarantee.
    • Tribunal Boxes can also drop from engaging in all sorts of zone activities, from looting monsters to opening chests or harvesting resources.
  • Trial bosses from Halls of Fabrication and Asylum Sanctorium have a chance to drop extra loot.

Greymoor Fixes & ImprovementsEdit

Exploration & ItemizationEdit

  • Antiquities
    • Fixed an issue where you would occasionally not obtain Bonus Loot when completing Excavations in Eyevea. You'll now receive items in the Trainee set from Eyevea.

HousingEdit

  • Homes
    • The Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery now correctly appears in the "Classic" category in the Gamepad Collections menu, instead of being miscategorized in the "Notable" category.
      • Note: This was a UI issue only, and did not impact furnishing limits or any other functionality for the home.

Markarth Fixes & ImprovementsEdit

AudioEdit

  • General
    • NPCs in English now have their mouths properly match the words they are saying.
    • Updated the music and sound effects for several quests.

Dungeons & Group ContentEdit

Vateshran Hollow [sic] Arena
  • General
    • Essence remnants will no longer occasionally appear in the ground.
  • Hunter's Grotto
    • The final grapple post leading to Rahdgarak will no longer disappear should you jump while grappling.
    • Luminous Apparitions and Moonlight Phantoms will now re-target enemies that grapple to their islands.
    • Rahdgarak's grunts and growls no longer appear in the chat window or on-screen. You will need to turn your volume up to get your minotaur grunting fix from now on.
  • The Wounding
    • Gatekeepers in The Wounding have now been promoted to Dire Wardens from Wardens. They had a good annual review so we thought the title was appropriate compensation.
  • Champion's Circle

HousingEdit

  • Homes
    • Adjusted the default placement of the fire logs in the Stone Eagle Aerie fireplace to appear more natural.
    • Adjusted the furnished version of Shalidor's Shrouded Realm to replace some of the empty bookcases with pre-filled versions.

Quests & ZonesEdit

  • General
    • Added a zone travel cart to facilitate travel between Bangkorai and the Reach.
    • Adjusted the placement of some structures in the Halls of Arkthzand to correct gaps or floating objects.
    • Fixed an issue preventing some templated characters from entering Arkthzand Caverns
  • Quests
    • Adjusted the timing of voice lines in multiple quests to prevent them from overlapping or playing at the incorrect times.
    • A Feast of Souls: You will no longer see duplicate Markarth citizens if you accept the final zone story quest while within Markarth.
    • After the Storm: Pentarch Sevida will no longer continually respawn.
    • Betrayal at Briar Rock: Fixed some quest markers so they now appear correctly on the map and doors.
    • The End of Eternity: Adjusted the timing for the visual effects of the Dark Heart to play at the appropriate moments.

Combat & GameplayEdit

Itemization & Item SetsEdit

  • Ability Altering Weapons
    • Executioner's Blade: Fixed an issue where this set could cause your Stamina to desync.
    • Force Overflow:
      • This set no longer states it can only affect group members, as it affects any allies in the tether.
      • Fixed an issue where the resources restored could sometimes fail to apply to multiple targets.
      • Fixed an issue where this set could apply to all group members, even when they were not in the tether.

Exploration & ItemizationEdit

  • Item Set Collection
    • Fenced items and those destroyed via "Destroy All Junk" will now be added to your Item Set Collection.
    • Fixed an issue where the generic item set tooltip in the Item Sets Book was inheriting its border from the last item tooltip that was displayed.

HousingEdit

  • Houseguests
    • Updated Historian Phedre's map, so that it no longer appears to have small metal pins holding up the corners of the map. (The previous version was a little … tacky.)

MiscellaneousEdit

    • Fixed a crash that could occur during combat, related to directional damage indication.

    • You can now right click unbound items to manually bind them to your character.

      • GetUnitRawWorldPosition(unitTag)
        Returns:
        zoneId (int)
        x (int)
        y (int)
        z (int)
  • Gamepad Mode
    • Fixed a UI error that could occur when leaving a Guild Bank.
