Beyond Skyrim:Cyrodiil/Animals
< Mod / Skyrim: Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil: Creatures(Redirected from Beyond Skyrim:Cyrodiil/Gray Fox)Animals in Cyrodiil resemble those of neighboring Skyrim, although species tend to differ both in appearance, stats and diseases carried. A few species are identical to those across the border, namely foxes, goats, rabbits, slaughterfish and, in mountainous regions, northern deer and snow bears. In common with other provinces of Tamriel, it also home to rats, a separate species to Skyrim's skeevers.
BearEdit
Like their cousins in Skyrim, Cyrodiilic bears live either in the wilderness or in their cave lair, and will attack if you are found infringing on their territory. They are weaker than their cousins when it comes to health and stamina.
Black bears are identical in appearance to standard Skyrim bears and also carry Bone Break Fever, which deducts 25 points from your stamina if you contract it while fighting one. Brown bears have a passing resemblance to Skyrim cave bears but due to a bug, their attack damage is much lower than expected. Both can be found across the wilderness and in caves, while masked bears are only found in snowy mountain environments. Both brown and masked bears carry the disease Yellow Tick, which will make your movement 20% slower if you contract it while fighting them. Skyrim snow bears will also start appearing in mountainous environments after level 20.

DeerEdit
Just like their Skyrim cousins, Cyrodilic deer are passive creatures that will flee when approached or threatened. While they share the same stats as their Skyrim cousins, they are markedly different in appearance, resembling fallow deer rather than reindeer or elk. Northern deer akin to Skyrim's are also found in mountainous areas in Cyrodiil.

DogEdit
Cyrodiilic dogs are physically identical to their cousins in Skyrim and can also be found accompanying Bandits. Two hardier hunting dogs can be found guarding the camp Retching Cornelius and his Cutter thugs have set up during A Cutter in Need. They have the same appearance, attack stats and disease (Rockjoint) as wolves, but higher health and stamina. One unique dog - Scruffy - is encountered during Missing Dog.

HorseEdit
As in Skyrim, you can buy or steal horses at stables in major cities. Horses appear in both saddled and unsaddled versions. In leveled lists for unsaddled horses, paint horses appear from level 2, chestnut horses from 3, white horses from level 14 and black horses from level 18. In leveled lists for saddled horses, all breeds appear starting from level 1.
A Paint Horse from the Bruma Stables will set you back 3,000 gold, providing you with a mount that is leaner and more agile than Skyrim's horses, but less sturdy. You will also find paint horses stabled at Applewatch and inside Cutpurse Hideout, while Adius Vilius's horse Januarius resides in the Bruma Stables.
Black Horses have slightly more health and are 40% faster than paint horses. A black horse can be seen ridden by an Imperial Patrol along the road from Bruma to Applewatch. Bay horses have slightly less health and are 15% faster than paint horses, while chestnut horses have significantly less health than paint horses, but are 25% faster. White horses have significantly more health than paint horses and are 25% faster.
Several locations including the stables at Applewatch and Fort Pale Pass and the horse thieves' camp during Horse, off course host a mix of saddled and unsaddled horses breeds depending on your level.

Mountain LionEdit
A fearsome predator akin to Skyrim's sabre cats, the mountain lion can be found across Cyrodiil's mountains, appearing in leveled lists from level 10. The lions may carry the disease Wither, which will reduce your health by 25 points if you contract it while fighting them.

MudcrabEdit
Cyrodiil is notoriously infested with the tenacious mudcrabs, nuisance creatures that can primarily be found around bodies of water. They come in three sizes and are significantly less hardy than their Skyrim cousins. While they share the same tactic of retreating into the mud when threatened, they are very different in appearance, being much thinner and possessing a reddish tinge. Mudcrabs may carry the disease Swamp Fever, which will make you 50% weaker to poisons if you contract it while fighting them.

WolfEdit
Similarly to its northern neighbor, Cyrodiil's roads, forests and mountains are teeming with wolves. While identical in stats, Cyrodiilic wolves are grey to Skyrim's black, and carry the disease Helljoint, which lowers your stamina regeneration by 25% if you contract it while fighting them. Timber Wolves are very similar in appearance to wolves but are distinguished by reddish-brown patches around the snout, ears and body. Similarly to their northern cousins, they may carry the disease Rockjoint. Black wolves akin to Skyrim's are also found in mountainous areas in Cyrodiil.
Four Packwolves are encountered during The big, bad wolf alongside alpha wolf Grimclaw; the former are tougher wolves, while the latter is a powerful timber wolf.
