Galdrus Hlervu

Galdrus Hlervu, or "Attendant Hlervu", is a Dark Elf mage working as a priest at the Raven Rock Temple. He is the assistant of Elder Othreloth.

He sleeps downstairs in the eastern room every night between midnight and 6am. At all other times he paces around the temple, relaxing or eating. At random times he may go outside and enjoy the view of Raven Rock from the porch outside the temple entrance.

He wears the robes, hood, and boots of a Temple Priest. He carries a steel dagger, a Raven Rock Temple key, and a selection of lower-class items and gold. He knows the Destruction spells Firebolt and Flames, and the Restoration spell Lesser Ward.

DialogueEdit

When approached:

"Excuse me, but the Temple is for followers of our faith alone. Outsiders aren't welcome here."
"Elder Othreloth is grooming me to be his eventual replacement. Soon, I'll be running the Temple my way."
"If they desire salvation, the citizens of Raven Rock need to open their eyes... and their pockets."
"You may have everyone fooled, but I see what you're doing here. The call of gold sends you scurrying like a rat."

He will finish conversations with:

"Non-believers are never welcome here."

Quest-Related DialogueEdit

DragonbornEdit

When you're a newcomer to the island you can ask him about Miraak:

Do you know someone called Miraak?
"Miraak... It sounds very familiar. Not someone here, but... I'm not sure I can recall."
Is he someone you know, or not?
"I can't be sure. I know I've heard that name, but it... it doesn't feel real. Does that make any sense?"

Also, if you have discovered the Earth Stone outside Raven Rock, you can ask him what is being built:

What's being built outside of town?
"There's a shrine at the Earth Stone, I think. I can't really remember... I think I knew at one time, but now I'm not sure."

It's All In The TasteEdit

If you ask him if he wants a drink of Sujamma during the quest It's All In The Taste he will immediately reject you:

Geldis Sadri wants you to try his new drink.
"Get that vile liquid away from me!"

ConversationsEdit

"Who are the Reclamations?"

Galdrus: "Elder, why have the Reclamations destroyed the Tribunal?"
Othreloth: "The Tribunal's destruction was wrought by their own hands. Their actions, or lack of action caused their downfall."
Galdrus: "And the Reclamations, they did nothing? Why did they allow the Tribunal to gain our people's favor at all?"
Othreloth: "Remember your lessons, Attendant."
Galdrus: "The road to true belief is strewn with the incredulity of those that failed the journey."

Othreloth: "Attendant, why has the door to the lower level been locked?"
Galdrus: "Locked? Are you certain, Elder?"
Othreloth: "Of course I'm certain. I wished to bless the tombs with the monthly invocation, but I couldn't get the door to open."
Galdrus: "I'm certain it's only stuck, Elder. I'll speak to Glover Mallory and see if he can take a look at it."

Galdrus: "You were one of the Ashlanders, Elder?"
Othreloth: "I was. I wandered the wastes of Vvardenfell, carrying the message of the Reclamations from tribe to tribe."
Galdrus: "Don't you mean the Anticipations?"
Othreloth: "We no longer use that name for them. They have reclaimed their identity and no longer represent the patronage of the false Tribunal. You'd do well to remember that next time, Attendant."
Galdrus: "Of course, Elder. Please forgive me."

Othreloth: "Galdrus, it's time for your lesson."
Galdrus: "Very well. I'm ready, Elder."
Othreloth: "Who are the Reclamations?"
Galdrus: "The Reclaimations [sic] are Azura, Mephala and Boethia. They mean to reclaim what was lost from the Tribunal's falsehoods and lies."
Othreloth: "Who were the perpetrators of those falsehoods?"
Galdrus: "Sotha Sil, Almalexia and Vivec. Saints who were never meant to be the cornerstones of our faith."
Othreloth: "What consequences did we suffer from this fallacy?"
Galdrus: "The destruction of our homeland, the exile of our people and the rebuilding of our civilization."
Othreloth: "Why do we rejoice that The Tribunal has fallen and their false promises are but a memory?"
Galdrus: "We rejoice as the New Temple rises. We rejoice because we embrace the Reclamations as our saviors."
Othreloth: "Very good, Galdrus. Your lessons are going well. You may carry on."
