Quest-Related DialogueEdit
After the events of Lost Depths, Druid Laurel will be in Glenumbra chasing down a lead relating the journey of the Druids of Galen. After you help her find Dhulef, you can go to the nearby Beldama Wyrd camp, where you find one of their Wyresses—Wyress Tola—had been abducted by Archdruid Michiel and the Firesong. This is significant as she is knowledgeable about the old stories involving the meeting between the Wyrds and Kasorayn, the last Druid King.
Once you have searched the Firesong's nearby camps, you will be led to Eimhir's Cavern. Deep inside the cavern, you will witness Archdruid Michiel speak to Wyresses Tola as his underlings corrupt the pillars of the ritual site.
- Archdruid Michiel: "The ritual is nearly complete. The spirit will be ours soon enough."
- Wyress Tola: "How dare you disturb a sacred spirit of nature!"
- Archdruid Michiel: "Careful, wyress. The spirit will belong to the Firesong. The prophecy decrees it!"
- Druid Laurel: "Down there! Hurry!"
As you run down the twisting passage to the ritual site, you will hear lines of the ritual chant as spoken by the archdruid:
- Archdruid Michiel: "Roots untangle, bindings shrivel …."
- Archdruid Michiel: "Wake and obey, the Firesong command you …."
- Wyress Tola: "No, you cannot summon the spirit! It's not time!"
- Archdruid Michiel: "You dare command an archdruid, wyress? I have no further need of you. Time to die!"
When you enter the ritual chamber, you will first need to fight off Ruairi the Thorn Piercer and an Ursauk Tairnan before you can reach Wyress Tola.When you arrive, Tola will have her hands up as Archdruid Michiel levels his strung bow at her:
- Wyress Tola: "No, stay back!"
- <Archdruid Michiel lowers his bow when he notices you arriving.>
- Archdruid Michiel: "Bah! I don't have time for distractions. The second ritual site awaits."
- <Archdruid Michiel opens a portal and leaves.>
- Druid Laurel: "Wyress Tola, are you all right?"
- Wyress Tola: "Ah, Dhulef. You and your friends arrived just in time. Thank you."
You can then speak with Wyress Tola to see what she knows:
- "Thank you for coming to rescue me from that druid villain. Your arrival undoubtedly saved my life. But you were too late to stop the archdruid from completing his ritual.
I think this is all related to the stories your friend Dhulef asked me about." - Were you able to recall any of those stories?
- "After consulting with my fellow elders and listening to the Firesong druid prattle on, yes. In one story, the Beldama Wyrds worked with Druid King Kasorayn long ago to consecrate this place for a ritual.
Did Dhulef find the tablet I pointed him to?" - Yes, he took a charcoal rubbing of the engraving. Here.
- "Ah, just as I remembered. The pattern depicts a ritual, though one I am unfamiliar with. The symbols represent the Druid King, the Beldama Wyrd, and the Glenmoril Wyrd. And the one in the center, I believe that's the spirit Archdruid Michiel seeks."
- Can you tell me anything about the ritual the archdruid performed here?
- "I believe it's the ritual depicted on the tablet, but in reverse. It shows the Druid King and the wyrds consecrating a place for a nature spirit. The archdruid's ritual desecrated this site. Now he's off to do the same thing at the second site."
- Do you know where the second ritual site is located?
- "Not specifically, but if the Glenmoril Wyrds assisted the Druid King there, then it must be somewhere in Bangkorai. The archdruid will require another wyress to access the ritual site. Then if he completes his spell, he can summon the nature spirit."
- Thank you for your help, wyress.
Speaking to her again before talking to your partners:
- "Go to Bangkorai. Speak with Wyress Sorcha of the Glenmoril Wyrd. Tell her I sent you. They have a camp just southeast of the city of Evermore.
Archdruid Michiel has already departed, so every moment you delay brings him one step closer to his goal."
Once you have spoken with Druid Laurel and Dhulef, Wyress Tola will step in:
- Wyress Tola: "Perhaps I can help. Let me create a portal to Bangkorai. It should deposit you close to the wyrd camp."
- Dhulef: "Much obliged, Wyress Tola. Clear skies to you."
Speaking to her again before taking the portal:
- "Don't trouble yourself with me. I may be old, but I'm not frail. I can make my way back to my sisters on my own.
Just get to Bangkorai and stop the archdruid. That's all I ask."
