Skills and AbilitiesEdit

A large, naturally occurring amphibian only seen on the Summerset Isles (and mainly along the coastline). Salamanders adapt to their surroundings and threats by changing their appearance and behaviors: To this end, they have thee different forms: Fire, Shock, and Ice. — Prima guide description[1]:214
Bite
A basic melee attack dealing low physical damage.
Tongue Dart
The salamander extends its tongue to strike from a distance, dealing low physical damage.
Tail Whip
The salamander whips its tail, dealing moderate physical damage and knocking down its target. This can be blocked to set the salamander off-balance.
Scurry
The salamander slithers forward at high speed, excreting a green toxic substance that deals continuous moderate poison damage and snares those that step in it. It doesn't have an AoE indicator.
Adaptation
The stripes along the salamander's back change color to represent the element it's adapting to. This occurs after the salamander is struck by a specific element (flame, shock, frost) for a certain amount of damage either from incoming attacks towards it, or simply at a time of the salamander's choosing (at random, but with a cooldown period). When it adapts to an element, it receives resistance to the element it adapted to, but a weakness to the other two elements. Once it's adapted, its abilities also change to become specific to that element.
Explosive Element
Regardless of which element they adapt to, the moment they do, three swirls of their attuned element shoot out from their body in different directions, indicated by small red circles, dealing moderate damage of the specific element.
Embers (flame only)
The salamander shakes violently, emitting embers that linger and deal continuous moderate fire damage, indicated by small red circles.
Cellular Hibernation (frost only)
The salamander's metabolism slows, and it briefly casts a shield around itself. Attacking the shield will break it, but not before the salamander throws a frozen projectile at its target, dealing moderate frost damage. If this projectile crosses over other salamanders, it heals them slightly.
Static Release (shock only)
The salamander concentrates its body's electricity, rolling forward and slamming its tail down to release an expanding line of electricity, indicated by a red rectangle, dealing moderate shock damage and stunning targets. The damage dealt by this ability decreases as it travels farther away from the salamander.
