"Aimrah is a small Velothi town on the northern shore of Lake Andaram. Despite its humble size, the town is an important trade hub for House Indoril, handling goods shipped to and from the Dres lands in the south across the lake."

Aimrah is Great House Indoril's outpost on Lake Andaram, and pays fealty to Indoril Beroth of Nanaav. As a fishing town, most of its occupants are involved with ships somehow. Two ships are docked in town - one, the Diligent Faith, belonging to Indoril Ilvi of Roa Dyr, and the other, the Paruddma, being the property of Obedur Marvus, a successful pearl diver.

Individuals in the town are very unfriendly to outsiders, perhaps with good reason, and it has a chilly atmosphere that's proven enough to force Horrav Fillipian to abandon his stay without paying. Older residents still recall the Arnesian War, when Argonian rebels ravaged the lands south of the lake. The weather here is often foggy, but on the rare clear day, beautiful views can be found across the waters - waters that conceal a high density of Dreugh.

Services are limited here. A bed can be found at the Sailors Inn, while three small-time traders hold down market stalls in town with a limited array of goods. The apartment complex hosts Aimrah's only real shop - a potions store run by the healer, Salaru Andalen.

Getting There and AroundEdit

In the current release (January 2022), the nearest large town is Almas Thirr. To reach Aimrah from there, follow the road (Veloth's Path) east, and take the second road branching off on the right. You should pass through Selyn. After Velonith, the road forks again. Take the right one to reach Aimrah. Alternatively, take the Silt Strider direct from Almas Thirr or Vhul. Aimrah can be reached by ship through the Hlaalu Ferry.

Places of Interest Around AimrahEdit

Lake Andaram contains grottos in almost every direction, with the nearest being Mulabaddon Grotto and Andasamsi Grotto. To the northeast stands the Velothi tower of Ald Volos, where the quest called The Rift can be begun. The tiny settlements of Balathren and Velonith lie some way to the north, while across the bay to the west can be found the two shack settlement of Nav Andaram. The sorceror Massitha, mentioned in the book, Incident in Necrom, can be found in the cave of Napali to the northwest.

  • While not a quest, entering the bedroom at the Sailors Inn will interrupt Velms Falveno in the act of beating the inn's slave, Yellow-Scales, to death.
  • If you wish to free Yellow-Scales, the key is under Dilvene Gilmanil's pillow, in the inn.
