Mammoth - a prime source of meat.

Cyrodilic Collections' operation in Murkmire is growing, and more explorers mean more mouths to feed. With my help, Jee-Lar plans to send cured meats to Black Marsh.

Quick WalkthroughEdit

1. Travel to The Rift and kill Mammoths for their meat.
2. Find Hervod and obtain the salt.
3. Return to Jee-Lar and give him the goods.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Jee-Lar needs provisions for the expedition. Mammoths provide a lot of meat, and Jee-Lar knows a Nord who sells salt that would be perfect for preserving the meat for the journey. You need to travel to The Rift and gather ten Rift Mammoth Steaks for Jee-Lar. You can find mammoths at Treva's Farm and Mammoth Ridge in the western section of the zone, or the Giant Camp to the east, north of Riften. Steaks can be found on the ground. These nodes will grant you one Mammoth Steak. The fastest way to get steaks is to kill Mammoths, which give you between 2-3 steaks per kill.

Once you have the ten steaks, travel east of Treva's Farm (near Honrich Tower) to the river, where you'll find Hervod, the salt merchant. You can either pay for a Sack of Salt upfront or entertain Hervod to get the salt. If you decide to keep him company, you'll need to drink mead from the spare mug he keeps on the crate to your left. You can tell Hervod one of nine puns after you've taken a drink. There are no wrong answers; none of the puns will offend him, he'll be entertained by all of them, and each response grants you the salt you need. Once you have the salt, return to Jee-Lar to complete the quest.
