Oblivion talk:Countess Narina Carvain
Killable?Edit
Is she ever killable? --Playjex 21:45, 11 July 2007 (EDT)
- Nope. --Shekinah 22:32, 11 July 2007 (EDT)
Background informationEdit
An anonymous user added some background information for the countess. I have moved it into the correct part of the page, and added various links, but I am not entirely sure about the validity of the information. I'm loathe to simply delete it, though, in case it is 100% supported by in-game stuff that I haven't seen or remembered. --Gaebrial 03:15, 5 September 2007 (EDT)
- There's a handy template for this thing (
{{verification needed}}
or{{huh}}
). Pages with one of those on get listed here, so other people can tell they need maintenance. Very useful! Especially in this case; I've never heard of that stuff either. --RpehTalk 13:14, 5 September 2007 (EDT)

- I've opted to move the entire paragraph here:
- She is the daughter of Count Reinhold Carvain of Bruma and his wife, Alisa Terentius of Bravil. Alisa was the sister of Count Regulus Terentius of Bravil, so Narina is therefore the cousin of Gellius Terentius. She had two younger sisters named Eleanor and Rosabella, but they were claimed by the Night Mother, and their skeletons lie in her crypt. Narina was the wife of Farwil Indarys, the son of Count Andel Indarys of Cheydinhal. He left her for the Dark Elven Lady Ilthirana of Ebonheart.
- I've opted to move the entire paragraph here:

- I can't find any snippets of information to support it. I looked through every mention of Narina in the esm file and couldn't find anything at all relevant. I also searched Oblivion.esm file for any mention of Reinhold Carvain, Alisa Terentius, Eleanor, Rosabella, or Ilthirana, and there is absolutely nothing. Similarly, searches of UESP come up empty, and even google fails (I tried Reinhold Carvain, Alisa Terentius, and Ilthirana). For good measure, I also checked the Pocket Guide to the Empire. Unless every name listed is horribly misspelled, I don't think the information comes from the game. --NepheleTalk 17:58, 6 September 2007 (EDT)

- I think the person who made that was doing Fan Fiction in the wrong place, I will look into it. Jay480 01:09, 20 September 2008 (EDT)

QuestionEdit
If Countess Narina is an Essential then Why is she in the Permanent Corpses bit? — Unsigned comment by Balder (talk • contribs) at 17:31 on 14 October 2008
- I'm not sure... Vesna made that edit; perhaps you could ask her? --GuildKnightTalk2me 19:44, 14 October 2008 (EDT)
-
- Vesna made the edit, but I supplied the info so I'd better give the explanation! Basically, the Permanent Corpses category lists all those NPCs that have the "Quest Item" flag set, whether or not they can actually die. I'll agree there's an argument for excluding essential NPCs but I'd rather keep the list comprehensive. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:21, 15 October 2008 (EDT)
HeroEdit
I was quite impressed by this: Narina Carvain is the only person I have met that I can remember in Oblivion who recognizes the player as a Hero. Her exact diolouge:
When the player is telling her Martin's plans of letting the Gate open outside Bruma:
So, I see... perhaps there truly is an Emperor hiding out at Cloud Ruler Temple... and perhaps a Hero as well?
You say something
You avoid answering my question..."
I think this warrants a note; does it not? --Arch-Mage MattTalk 19:28, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- It definitely deserves a mention and will certainly get it when the ONPCRP gets there. --Krusty 19:43, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
