The Merringar is a rare type of fish that can be found in the Sea of Ghosts, roughly a week's voyage north from mainland Skyrim. They are considered to be a delicacy. Local fishermen hunt them in schools, but harvesting them is a dangerous endeavor as their blood can attract dreugh. Simocles Quo, the Master of Cuisine in Emperor Uriel VII's Elder Council, nearly died in such an event.[1]

Mud hoppers are amphibious fish which can survive both out of water and on the ocean floor. They can be found along the shoreline of bodies of water or in swampy areas. The brown and green variety can be found on Summerset and Artaeum, while the vibrantly colored subspecies can be found in southern Tamriel, such as in Murkmire and Southern Elsweyr, as well as in the Inner Sea of Morrowind.
