Soul Carin Map
Map showing horse head location ( east of Valerica the first time you enter) the ten pages of the Impatience of a Saint, 3 Summon books & reaper crystals. — Unsigned comment by 86.41.101.76 (talk) at 01:21 on 29 June 2012

Skyrim:Desecrated Corpse
I've noticed there is no page for the dead bodies found in Kilkreath Ruins during the quest The Break of Dawn. They contain lots of gold (25-100 I think)- Chezburgar8:38PM 19th October 2012 AEST
- In CSList, these desecrated corpses are documented as containers that are non-respawning. There are two versions: 0x000ebad8 and0x000ebe06, both containing leveled gold. First one contains 25, 50, 75, 100 or 125 gold; second one contains 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 gold. We can redirect Skyrim:Desecrated Corpse to Skyrim:Containers#Desecrated Corpse and list the loot there, so that Kilkreath Ruins and The Break of Dawn can link there. Or if anyone thinks this is unnecessary, we can list the loot on the two pages (info will be replicated though, but I guess two pages is fine?). So which will it be? Or anyone has a third and better idea? ~ Psylocke10:18, 19 October 2012 (GMT)
- I brought this up on the Containers talk page (mainly due to Chezburgar's edit). It sounds like the consensus is leaning towards including it on the Containers page. I support this option. --Xyzzy Talk 13:39, 19 October 2012 (GMT)
- As I said on that talk page section Xyzzy mentioned, I think it's better to list them there (and link to it from the Kilkreath Ruins page). Also, we may wish to address this there as the topic had already started before this section and addresses a broader issue which this is a part of. — ABCface◥15:44, 19 October 2012 (GMT)

Canon/Retcon articles
Would there be any use of canon articles stating whether something happened in lore/canon? Eg: Failing the main Morrowind questline = non-canon, Imperial or Stormcloaks winning the civil war not confirmed as of yet, etc, etc --Resonance Gamer (talk) 06:23, 4 May 2013 (GMT)
- That pretty much is covered by the Lore section of the site. Is there any particular event that you have a question about whether it is canon or not? Jeancey (talk) 06:28, 4 May 2013 (GMT)
- Not really, was just a suggestion. --Resonance Gamer (talk) 06:40, 4 May 2013 (GMT)
Skyrim:Dwemer Convector
If not its own entry at least a redir to Skyrim:Arniel's Endeavor. Most people will run into them in the wild before getting the quest and this makes it easier to find. --108.173.140.175 07:19, 15 July 2013 (GMT)

Orma
Why Orma redirected to Kothringi? There is no much information about them but this is anoter race not part Kothringi tribe. "A gaunt woman with rags tied over her eyes ran to her side and dropped a goatskin of water. Rijja was about to laugh at the woman's prudery -- she herself was not ashamed of her naked body -- but then she noticed through a crease in the rags that the old woman had no eyes at all. She was like one of those Orma tribesmen Rijja had heard about, but never met. Born without eyes, they were masters of their other senses."(2920, The Last Year of the First Era)--Tashy 07:55, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Redirects were created to these articles (and the "no it is not" person got this to be done by subtly insulting the wiki), something which, in my opinion, shouldn't have been created in the first place. Sovngarde Stormcloak Soldier
I wasn't prevented from making this page but I wanted to ask first and hopefully this is the place to do it. Should a page be added for the soldier you meet and talk to when first entering Sovngarde? The one who tells you about the Hall of Valor? I made a sandbox on it already (User:Vulpa/Sandbox2)...--Vulpa 22:07, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- His base ID should be 00090a47.
- There's a similar discussion about page separation here. I'm uncertain what consensus is there; I think the preference is to have a new page due to the lack of association, which may work here with that large amount of content. On the other hand, if the infoboxes on the Stormcloak Soldier page can be combined with radiant tags, that would leave enough space for this to go in as well. Vely►t►e 22:41, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think there's enough content unique to this particular Stormcloak Soldier to warrant his own page, particularly in terms of dialogue. I would support this NPC having a separate page. ABCface◥ 17:03, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, looking at the current Stormcloak Soldier page, it might fit there if we figure out the differences between all the different versions already listed on that page. Like Vely said, the infoboxes currently on that page could possibly be combined using hovertext for certain parameters, but we would need someone to look into the CK to check all the relevant differences between them. ABCface◥ 17:14, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, I just noticed that the consensus on Bandit (Dawnguard) seems to be to keep it as its own page. Is that consensus going to apply the same way in this case? --Vulpa (talk) 18:37, 15 September 2012 (GMT)

Not to be argumentative, but while the Skyrim Soldier definitely doesn't have a unique name, he's unique in his dialogue (which is main-quest-related) and actions, as discussed on the sandbox's talk page. All of the Adventurers on that page are basically the same, with just a few location and physical differences. But this guy is important to the main quest, and unique. That's why I think he deserves his own page, like the bandit in Redwater Den.--Vulpa 19:52, 15 September 2012 (GMT)
- Okay, I for one consider this case to be very much like the case of the Bandit (Dawnguard), in which it was decided that he would have his own page due to lack of association with other "bandits" and his multiple schedule differences that make him a unique entity. Therefore, to be consistent, (and because, if nothing else, the Stormcloak Soldier page is ... lacking) the Stormcloak Soldier (Sovngarde) should also be granted his own page. Unless somebody has a major disagreement with this, can somebody move (I don't think I have the power) my sandbox (here-- keep in mind it's a rough draft) to the website proper? --Vulpa 17:16, 10 November 2012 (GMT)

- Nevermind, apparently I can move it. And I plan to, unless someone tells me not to sometime soon. Thanks, --Vulpa 20:11, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
frozen mammoth
there is an amazingly cool mammoth frozen solid in a block of ice near the cordanates (83485, 92065) its just a really cool discovery for a few reasons 1. its pierced with dwarven arrows so its kinda cool to think some dwarven hunters killed it way back when. 2nd reason is it provides low leveled players easy to get dwarven arrows and mammoth meat that may respon. — Unsigned comment by 66.60.209.108 (talk) at 01:47 on 25 May 2012
- It's just a curiosity - it might be worth adding a note on the Mammoth page, but it doesn't need it's own article. Kitkat •Talk•Contrib•E-mail 08:37, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Inheritance
I know USEP already has a page called Skyrim:Letter of Inheritance but it would be useful to have a page which includes a list of all possible people you can inherit money from. There is one on the discussion page but it only includes a few of possible people. It would be beneficial to our most evil and greedy of users who want to get as much money as they can. In addition it could be just good to have and would answer queries about a courier turning up giving you money with a strange letter. Also the current page does not say how you get it aand what it actually is. — Unsigned comment by 81.103.23.153 (talk) at 06:37 on 29 July 2012
- While I agree that this event is not documented very well, I don't see the usefulness of listing each and every NPC whose death may result in receiving a letter. Maybe just adding it to the World Interactions page would suffice. --XyzzyTalk 16:04, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

- It seems like a good idea to me. I would have expected us to have a quest page on it, but that's not the case. An article explaining the mechanics of inheritance and (perhaps) listing the NPCs who can provide it sounds good. —Legoless 14:48, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- The Silencer has launched the page here. ~ Psylocke 10:55, 10 November 2012 (GMT)

Skald
I thought it might be a good idea to have a disambiguation page at Lore:Skald, since it's a term for Nordic bards and the name for Skald Felgeif, a Jarl in Skyrim (who's known in the game simply as "Skald"). However, I know disambiguation pages are usually only put in place for when there are two pages which conflict, and we don't actually have a page for skalds, so I didn't know if it was the best way to go. If a disambig page is appropriate, here's the text for it, just copy and paste:
'''Skald''' may refer to two things:
* Skalds, traditional {{Lore Link|Nord|Nordic}} bards in [[Lore:Skyrim|Skyrim]].
* {{Lore Link|Skald Felgeif}}, a Jarl of {{Lore Link|Dawnstar}} in the {{Lore Link|Fourth Era}}.
{{disambig}}

Men of Black Marsh
There seems to be a lot of controversy (more than there should be) about the various tribal groups of men from black marsh. I suggest converting all of them to redirects to a "Men of Black Marsh" (or something similiar) page that lists each and their unique traits. It is innacurate to just make the lesser tribes redirect to kothringi . . . and kothringi is a short page anyways. 71.238.243.98 08:39, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
- Actually, while we're at it, I think a lore page Lore:Men should be created, as in an article about all the humans in TES universe. There it can list all the possibly omitted throngs of men (keptu, Yerpest, Horwalli, men-of-'kreath, Orma, men-of-ge, to name a few) and we could use a central article for all the races of men, much like Lore:Mer is for elves. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 14:23, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
- Would it be better to use the non-gender-specific title Lore:Humans instead? Not trying to be overly-PC here, but the existence of a page called Lore:Men might make someone wonder why there isn't also one called Lore:Women. "Humans" eliminates the chance of controversy there. TheRealLurlock (talk) 14:37, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
- Point. Well, the capitalized word Men is mostly used in sources that are archaic anyway. We should probably change that on the {{Races}} template as well then. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 14:51, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
- Not to mention the word "men" or "man" can be and often is used to refer to mer when the gender needs to be specified. E.g. if I say "Two Dunmer men walked by", you immediately know it was two male Dunmer, but if I just said "Two Dunmer walked by", you'd have no idea if they were male, female, or one of each. And "mer" is not gender-specific, so "Two Dunmer mer walked by" is not only uninformative, but tautological, since Dunmer are mer by definition. TheRealLurlock (talk) 15:02, 10 November 2012 (GMT)
- I agree with the idea of making a page for all races of "Men" and I kinda agree with just calling it "Men" because the elder scrolls context for the word seems different . . . just make "human" redirect to it, isnce the word "human" seems to be virtually absent from the lore (BTW, I am hte anonymous editor up there I finalyl remembered my password yay. But I still think a sub-page for the men of black mars should be included . . . or perhaps just a page for obscure human races? Ralok (talk) 02:47, 12 November 2012 (GMT)

(←) Maybe we should make it vice-versa, and have Lore:Men redirect to Lore:Humans. As for the men of Black Marsh, all of the human races would be included and info on their whereabouts added. I don't see why we should single these out. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 15:53, 12 November 2012 (GMT)
- Fair enough I guess. Ralok (talk) 17:10, 12 November 2012 (GMT)
- Makes sense. There's also precedence for such a set up - Lore:Orsimer redirects to Lore:Orc. While "Orsimer" may be the more formally correct term, "Orc" is more commonly used. In this case you don't also have the added confusion that "Men" and "men" are not quite the same in terms of usage, since the latter can be used to describe males of any race, but given that all wiki page titles are by technical necessity capitalized, those two words would end up being in the same place anyhow. TheRealLurlock (talk) 02:45, 13 November 2012 (GMT)
Do we have Lore: Man and Lore: Mer? I think these articles are warranted but perhaps Lore: Phylogeny of Man and Lore: Phylogeny of Mer is what we're really getting into here. Each of the playable "modern" races has its own page and some of the ancient races such as Dwemer, Kothringi, Nedes, etc. have their own pages too. There are a handful of ancient "man" races in Tamriel [and other continents] that are mentioned for historical purposes in one or two sources and said to be indigenous to the Imperial Heartland, Black Marsh, Akavir, or Atmora. Let's create a Lore: Phylogeny page and branch into Lore: Man and Lore: Mer. [There are a handful of races in Akavir possibly related to Man or the Khajiit but some are original to Akavir. Possibly Lore: Phylogeny of Akavir to discuss their original races.] The main Phylogeny page can discuss Creation Myths and migration theories. Each Man and Mer article would discuss phylogeny by provincial region and further migrations. Ancient races with more information can have links to their own pages like the main races. I would not use "human" and confuse Nirn with Earth. There are technically no "humans" on Nirn. "Man" is used archaically from our language but does not refer to the same racial species as our own ["man" meaning simply "from the ground" Interestingly, on Nirn this could mean created "of Lorkhan" instead of descended from Anu]. Dunmer are never referred to as "men" but as male Dunmer. As awkward as it may seem to some, Skyrim continues to make the clear distinction in the NPC dialogue to preserve this use of "man" to refer only to the races of "men." One Dunmer says "I don't like working for so-and-so, but what is a male Dunmer supposed to do?" The specific use of "man" to refer only to "man" races and also the males of those races but not the male gender across other races needs to be accurately recorded on the wiki pages. This usage is not about PC or our world, it is about lore accuracy in the world of TES. 75.245.47.189 09:43, 16 November 2012 (GMT)
- Simply not true. A search for the word "man" turned up dozens of uses of the word to describe a person of the non-human races. Just a sampling:
- Lore:The_Cake_and_the_Diamond - "Now, tell me, young man, what will your friends do once I give them the potion?" She's talking to a Dunmer.
- Morrowind:Umbra (quest) - journal entry: "While in Suran, I spoke to Ashumanu Eraishah. She told me of a madman on a hill nearby. She thinks the man is dangerous, although he hasn't harmed anyone around." This refers to Umbra, an Orc.
- Morrowind:The_Drunken_Bounty_Hunter - journal entry: "I've agreed not to tell anyone about Hides His Eyes being the escaped slave. It doesn't seem right to force this man back into bondage." Here we're talking about an Argonian.
- Morrowind:Strange Man at Gindrala Hleran's House - This time it's in the name of the quest, and he's a Dunmer.
- Morrowind:Hortator_and_Nerevarine - journal entry: "She says she hears that a man named Tholer Saryoni, the leader of the Temple, is desperate." Tholer Saryoni is definitely a Dunmer.
- Lore:The Real Barenziah, Part I - "In short, Symmachus was a typical young dark elf man, remarkable only for his size." This even uses the construction I demonstrated.
- I could find many more, but you can see them yourself with a simple search. The word "human" is also quite commonly used, you can look that up as well. And unlike "man", it almost exclusively refers to members of the "human" races (as opposed to elves). TheRealLurlock (talk) 12:57, 16 November 2012 (GMT)
OH OH! Delphine uses the word "humankind" when referring to races other than elves at least once. She says the thalmor are a threat to "humankind" so it seems they do use the term to distinguish man from elves . . . with man just being the more common shorthand. someone should go ahead and make a page for humanity Ralok (talk) 03:12, 19 November 2012 (GMT)

Strategic Maps
Should a page be created for these maps that are located in each Hold's Jarl's palace and the military camps? They are interactable, and seem to change based on the Civil War progress. I don't really feel comfortable just creating one, as I'm not sure its worth it, and I don't really have any definite info about them. --Xyzzy 06:38, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
