Ghernn Rithrin is a Dark Elf noble and Creedman of Great House Indoril who can be found near the entrance to Tel Thenim in Port Telvannis. He insists on speaking only in Old Velothi, which you can only understand if you are a Dark Elf, a High Elf with at least 60 intelligence, or have at least 90 intelligence.
He came to Port Telvannis to try to persuade the Telvanni to allow the Indoril to build temples in their territory, but failed. He needs to return home and had brought a Scroll of Leaguestep for the purpose, but has misplaced it and needs a replacement. If you can understand him and give him the scroll, he will reward you and immediately use it.
He wears an extravagant shirt, a pair of extravagant pants, a pair of extravagant shoes, a pair of extravagant gloves, and an Indoril amulet. He wields an adamantium halberd, and carries Ghernn's Ring of Fire, his reward for giving him a Scroll of Leaguestep. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows the following spells: Variable Resist Common Disease, Variable Resist Fire, Variable Resist Frost, Variable Resist Magicka, and Variable Resist Poison.
