Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Incomprehensible IndorilEdit
Outside Tel Thenim in Port Telvannis you will encounter a Dark Elf named Ghernn Rithrin dressed in a white shirt who greets you haughtily by saying "Os alnef dahrdig as ald hudilk; el edur luvahr lo dahrdid ot vilshif hudilk. Os bahr ar dahrdig devahr ohn, er os ur'ish ohuhm julifkhes." It turns out that this is a phrase in the old Velothi language, and you can only proceed if you have some way of understanding it. If you are also a Dark Elf, you will not have a problem. If you are a High Elf and your Intelligence is at least 60, you find the language sufficiently close to Altmeri for you to understand it. Otherwise, your intelligence must be at least 90. Once you understand him, you can translate his words as meaning "I only speak the old language; it is beneath me to speak a different language. I would normally not speak to you, but I need your help."
Getting HomeEdit
Rithrin came to the capital to see if the Telvanni would allow House Indoril to build temples in their territory. They refused, and now he wants to return to Almalexia. He brought a Scroll of Leaguestep with him for the purpose but has lost it and he wants you to find him another. He slept overnight in The Avenue and believes he lost the scroll there.
ScrollingEdit
Any Scroll of Leaguestep will do. Turosi Salvel has a couple for sale in his Enchanter's store, but you can find the one Ghernn Rithrin lost with a little search. It lies on the floor under one of the bunks in the East Wing of The Avenue. However you find a scroll, take it back to Rithrin who will give you 15 gold as thanks.

10 | I met a merchant from House Indoril, named Ghernn Rithrin, who will only speak in the native Dunmer language. He claims that he has lost the scroll of recall he was to use to return to Almalexia. He has asked that I find him a scroll of recall; perhaps I should look around the Avenue where he stayed last night. If nothing else I can probably purchase one at a shop in Port Telvannis. | |
