What Happened to your Old Slave?Edit
Nethan Marys, the mouth of Mistress Faruna, explains that his mistress needs some new slaves delivered to her in Tel Oren. He gives you three black pearls, two sapphires, three rubies, three diamonds and an emerald and instructs you to take them to the local slaver, Naral Dunden, as payment. Marys explains that you only have three hours in which to complete the task.
The DeliveryEdit
Naral Dunden can be found nearby, on the raised platform near the vast shape of the Mounted Dres Guard. Hand over the gems, and return to Nethan Marys. He praises you for your honesty and rewards you with two emeralds and three House Telvanni reputation points.
Cheating a Wizard?Edit
The temptation, of course, is to keep the gems for yourself. This turns out not to be a good idea, however, as once Marys' three hour deadline expires, a Scamp appears in front of you to find out what has happened.
If you still have all the gems, Marys' disposition towards you drops by 25 points and Mistress Faruna's by 20, and you lose two House Telvanni faction reputation points. If you don't, Marys' disposition is set to 15, Faruna's drops by 30, you lose five House Telvanni reputation points, are expelled from House Telvanni and receive a bounty equal to the value of the stones you don't have on you. This can be as much as 2,800 Drakes, which would give you an instant death sentence with nearby guards. In either case, the scamp also attacks you.
The lesson is: don't cheat a wizard!
