Faruna is a Dark Elf sorcereress and one of the masters of Great House Telvanni. Her mouth is Nethan Marys, who has much more power than normal as his mistress has a reputation as a recluse. She lives in the tower of Tel Oren, on an island in Dagon Urul.
Her remote tower gives her a chance to carry out her research. She has a particular interest in plants and their magical properties. Her rival Master Vaerin finds her contemptible and regards her position on the Parliament of Bugs as a mockery to the true Telvanni way. He considers her weak, absent and unimportant and believes it is only a matter of time before she is removed.
