Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Talk to Divayth Fyr.
- Explore and clear the Halls of Fabrication.
- Speak to Divayth Fyr again for your reward.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Strange constructs have been spilling out of a rift in Abanabi Cave, found during the construction of Tel Fyr, the tower being grown for Divayth Fyr. You must help Divayth Fyr find the source of these fabricants and stop them from coming to Nirn. Your first objective is to clear the way through Abanabi Cave. The corpses of dead slaves and Telvanni tower-growers, murdered by fabricants, litter the ground.
The first boss is a pair of giant Verminous Fabricants: Hunter-Killer Negatrix and Hunter-Killer Positrox. When the fabricants are close together, an electric beam connects them. Running through the beam kills you instantly, but can also be used to defeat the refabricated Spheres that fling poison on the party on veteran difficulty. For more information, see the boss' pages. Put simply, proper positioning of the tanks is paramount for this fight. Make sure the dps stay out of the way of the fabricants' frontal attacks, have Purge (an alliance war skill) on at least three members' skill bars if you're running on Veteran mode and try to kill both bosses around the same time. Collect the boss loot from the chest that appears at the entrance of the arena when both fabricants are felled. A wave of Fabricant creatures will appear from the rift after they are defeated.
The next boss falls from the sky almost immediately after the obligatory post-boss fight add wave is killed: the Pinnacle Factotum.
Once it's defeated, levitate into the rift using the levitation sigil in the center of the room. Wait until all group members are there and run to the left, running past all the enemies. Once you reach the button at the end of the room, have everyone except for the tank stand next to it. Assign someone to press the button at the right time, then have the tank go taunt the next boss: the Archcustodian. This boss will continue walking and won't stop unless those buttons you saw around the hallway are pressed while the boss is next to them. When the Archcustodian reaches the button, have the assigned button-presser press the button, and the Archcustodian's invulnerability will dissipate, leaving it open for attack. Whale on it with everything you have until it gets up again, then everyone needs to run to the next button. Rinse and repeat. Kill the adds that spawn, wait for the boss to come to you, press the button, and beat on it like your life depends on it (because it does. If the Archcustodian reaches the other end of the hallway, that's a wipe. Luckily, it's really slow, and the twelve of you combined should be doing enough damage per second to break it before that happens).
After the Archcustodian is defeated, run down the hall to the right. All the way down the hallway. There will be a few add pulls here.
The next boss is what will collectively be referred to as the Triplets, which consists of the Reclaimer, the Reducer, and the Reactor.
Once the triplets are dead, make your way towards the Assembly General, defeat it, and shut down the Halls of Fabrication for good.
If you defeat the Assembly General without picking up the quest, you can loot an Incomprehensible Artifact off of his corpse that will start the quest. This allows you to tell Divayth Fyr you've done the deed in order to receive your weekly reward.
- <A piece of the great machine fell off when it was destroyed. This artifact is beyond your comprehension, but may be valuable to a collector.>
- I should bring this artifact to Divayth Fyr so that he can examine it.
NotesEdit
- The weekly reward coffers from this quest are the only source of Dwarven Construct Repair Parts, a crafting material needed for special furnishings.
Quest StagesEdit
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
