	Centuries ago, Chimer mages conducted rituals on the Charred Ridge to help them drive the Nedic invaders out of Morrowind.

Charred Ridge

The Charred Ridge is a Daedric ruin on the slopes of Ash Mountain visited during the Ebonheart Pact quest Rending Flames. It was here that Mavos Siloreth and his acolytes first created the ritual that bound Balreth, and you must re-learn the ritual during the related quest.

While the instanced flashback version is visited from Othrenis, the present day overworld version is part of Ash Mountain and is visited during the quests Restoring the Guardians and The Death of Balreth. Several dead Chimer Mages can be found here.

Various locations from Stonefalls can be seen around the ridge, with some differences. The Ebonheart Chateau is missing, for example, and the Lady Stone and Senie are surrounded by water rather than lava.
