Witseidutsei is an Argonian publican and the innkeeper of the Five Claws Lodge in Leyawiin. Witseidutsei sells food and rents beds, and prides herself on keeping her establishment clean. It's therefore unsurprising that, during the Fighters Guild quest Drunk and Disorderly, she will be very displeased about your guildmates making a mess in her tavern.
Witseidutsei will serve at the tavern her entire life, without ever eating or sleeping, until the drunken Fighters Guild members come to town. She'll then either be found standing by the bar arguing with them, though still offering her services.
She wears a random selection of lower-class clothing and also carries a meager amount of gold.

DialogueEdit
Her pride in keeping the inn clean shines through when you meet her for the first time:
- "Welcome, stranger, to the Five Claws. Food and beds, cheap and good, but most of all, your hostess promises, always clean! Witseidutsei gives you her guarantee! Everything, clean, always, or you do not pay!"
If you inquire for a bed, she will say:
- "There's a bed for you if you need it. A mere 10 gold for the night."
If you pay for the bed, she will say:
- "Very well. Room number two, just near the entrance. If you need food or drink, let me know."
If you then inquire again on the topic, she will say:
- "The room's already yours for the night."
If you don't have sufficient gold to pay for the bed, she will say:
- "No money, no room. I'm running a business here."
She is also very fond of Count Marius Caro but not of his wife, Countess Alessia Caro, due to the Countess' racism towards Argonians. She will sarcastically remark on how wise the Countess is:
- "So much dirt, and so little time... pause but a moment, and you'll be drowned in the tide... Trash! Mud! Dust! We all love Count Marius, and his father before him... Arkay bless his soul... such a fine young man. And now, his new wife, so beautiful, so fine. And wise? Oh, yes! The new Lady Leyawiin is daughter to Countess Arriana Valga, County Chorrol, and so she knows just how the county should be run. Lady Alessia tells Count Marius exactly what to do... and he does as she says... But listen to me! Cawing and chattering like an old fishcrow..."

Drunk and DisorderlyEdit
When you arrive in Leyawiin after being given the duty to investigate reports that your Fighters Guild guild-mates Rellian, Vantus Prelius, and Dubok gro-Shagk are causing trouble, you will immediately here about it from the locals:
- "There are some folks causing trouble, that's for sure. Head over to the Five Claws Lodge. You'll see."
Sure enough, when you approach Witseidutsei, she will be livid:
- "You must make them stop!"'
When you enter conversation with her, she will say:
- "You're Fighters Guild! Get them out of here!"'
- Causing trouble
- "Causing trouble, yes. Causing much trouble. Scaring customers. Breaking furniture. Bad, bad men."
- Blackwood Company
- "They have caused trouble here as well. But they have gold to pay for the trouble. Things are always better when served with gold."
When leaving the conversation she will plead: "Make them leave! Now!" or "Make them go away!"
While the guild members are still causing trouble, they will direct several disparaging remarks towards her:
Dubok gro-Shagk | Rellian | Vantus Prelius |
---|---|---|
"More beer, sweetcakes!" | "Don't get your tail in a knot." | "How about you send over a few more drinks, sweetheart?" |
"Send over a drink. And make it quick!" | "Send me a drink, barkeep. And make it quick." | "Barkeep! A refill!" |
"Settle down, pondscum." | "What are you looking at? Keep pouring drinks!" | "Hurry it up, swamprot! I'm thirsty over here." |
She will respond in kind by randomly hurling various insults and demands at both you and them:
Drunken guildmates | Player |
---|---|
"All of you! Out! Now!" | "Get your men out of here!" |
"You're paying for all of this!" | "Stop these maniacs!" |
"You scare off my customers. Go away!" | "You make them leave!" |
"Leave here now, Redguard!" | "Get them out of here!" |
"Nothing more for you, Imperial! Get out!" | |
"I'll never let an Orc drink here again!" | |
"Dirty Orc! Get out!" | |
"Filthy Orc! I smell you from here!" |
Once you find new work for your fellow guild members she will greet you by saying:
- "It's about time someone did something. These guys are killing my business!"
- Causing trouble
- "Perhaps they will cause no more. Perhaps they will have the gold to pay for their drinks."
RumorsEdit
The residents of Leyawiin have definitely noticed her focus on keeping the inn clean as they will remark:
- "The Five Claws Lodge is a nice, clean place. Witseidutsei makes sure of it."
- "Witseidutsei runs a clean establishment. She really hates it when people mess up her place."
To which others will respond:
- "Witseidutsei takes great pains to keep that place clean. She doesn't tolerate people messing it up."
- "The Five Claws is a very clean place. Witseidutsei wouldn't have it any other way."
Unused DialogueEdit
Like many other publicans around Cyrodiil, Witseidutsei was at one point meant to have multiple topics related to the city she resided in. Four player-only topics still remain in the files:
- The Count?
- Current events?
- Opportunities?
- Know any Daedric shrines?
Her Leyawiin topic response in the final game appears to be taken from the first topic.
BugsEdit
- Witseidutsei owns two chests in the Border Watch Inn due to said inn being copied from the Five Claws Lodge without having the chests' ownership changed.
- The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.5.8, fixes this bug.
