Arzhela was the consort of King Eamond, the ruler of Bangkorai in the Sixth Century of the Second Era. She was also the cousin of High King Emeric, the ruler of the Daggerfall Covenant. After the deaths and disappearances of her husband and children during the invasion of Mournoth by the Dark Witnesses reach clan in 2E 582, she initially stepped backed from leadership in the stead of her brother-in-law Duke Renchant to mourn and care for injured and dying.
However, Queen Arzhela re-assumed leadership after Renchant's plot to surrender the city of Evermore to Imperial forces was discovered. Subsequently, she participated in the retaking of Bangkorai Garrison from the Imperial Seventh Legion.
HistoryEdit
Before her marriage, she was Arzhela of Wayrest and was wed to Eamond in a bid to strengthen relations between Bangkorai and Stormhaven.[1] This union came about after Eamond's father King Blaise came to Emeric's aid during Ranser's War in 566. Two years after, Eamond ascended to the throne due to his father's death. During their marriage they had two children, Prince Adrien and Princess Elara.[2] Arzhela was said to have personally knitted their baby clothes[3] and indulged her daughter's love of long walks by having several parasols created for her.[4]
As Queen, Arzhela became quite popular among the people, dolls made in her likeness could be found throughout Northern Bangkorai.[5] Though public perception would shift, with there being concerns for her constitution[6] in the aftermath of her personal tragedy in 2E 582.
Like much of Tamriel during the Planemeld, Evermore had its own local crisis to deal with. For the city and its surrounding lands, this came in the form of an invading force of Reachmen from the north, bringing to mind Black Drake's rampage through the area decades before. King Eamond lead his forces to defend Northglen, only to die in battle along with Prince Adrien. Not shortly after, Princess Elara and her guards were attacked while traveling, resulting in Elara being missing and presumed dead.[1]
