Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Speak to Dreynos Helvi at the Hlaalu Council Manor in Andothren.
- Retrieve the Letter to Gavros Falas from Gavros Falas' house.
- Speak to Honon Falas in the Dancing Cup, Andothren to get a Letter to Honon Falas.
- Do any or all of the following:
- Ask Darane Navur in Almas Thirr about Gavros Falas with 80+ disposition.
- Go to Molkobal and retrieve Gavros Falas' Journal and an Ash Statue.
- Return to Dreynos and name your suspect.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Ask Dreynos Helvi about further business. It will transpire that a troublesome merchant has disappeared - Gavros Falas. Dreynos wants you to find him. His home is in Andothren on the street leading to the docks. You'll find the door secured with a level 50 lock. Once inside, seek out the desk on the basement floor - it contains a Letter to Gavros Falas from an unknown correspondent, threatening Gavros with exposure if he doesn't get out of town.
More evidence is required. Asking the residents of Andothren about Gavros Falas will quickly see you pointed to the Dancing Cup, on Andothren's square. Inside, you will find Honon Falas, who believes his uncle to have been murdered. He'll give you his uncle's last letter to him, which mentions both a merchant named Darane Navur in Almas Thirr, and a meeting that occurred in the cavern of Molkobal.
Pursuing either of these leads will allow you to name a suspect to Dreynos Helvi and complete the quest.
Edit
You can question Darane Navur if you wish (find her in her store and question her with 80+ disposition). She'll deny having any involvement in Gavros' death, and will mention his trade of ash statues. Despite her denial, you may now return to Dreynos Helvi and blame Darane, which he will accept without much question. This choice yields the greatest reward - 300 gold in addition to two Scrolls of Didala's Radiance.
MolkobalEdit
The cavern of Molkobal is on the westernmost island in the Thirr River delta, east of Andothren and northwest of Gol Mok. The entrance is on the waterline, facing southeast. Enter, and unlock the level 25 door blocking your path. Beyond it, you'll find some key pieces of evidence - not least Gavros Falas' body. Search it to retrieve his diary, and take the ash statue. This will allow you to blame a cult worshipping ash statues for Gavros' death - the ash statue being accepted as evidence. Dreynos will only give you the scrolls of Didala's Radiance for this however, with no gold bonus.
The Camonna TongEdit
Blaming the Camonna Tong is possible after searching Molkobal and retrieving Gavros' journal, which refers to their threats. However, this will bring you a reduced reward of the scrolls only, with no gold. Dreynos cannot be made to feel that you have enough evidence to make such an accusation.
NotesEdit
- If Dagoth Ur has been defeated, speaking to Sathes Barnalo on the roof of the Cat-Catchers' Cornerclub about Gavros Falas will yield a confession from the true culprit - a sleeper under the influence of "the Mad Lord of Red Mountain".
- Dreynos' responses to laying the blame on an ash statue cult change depending on your progress through the Main Quest.
- Starting this quest will cause Gavros Falas to go missing, which limits ways you can finish Kitchen Supplies quest in.

---|---|---|
Index | Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
10 | Dreynos Helvi asked me to investigate the disappearance of an outlander Dunmer merchant named Gavros Falas. I should start by checking out his house, which is located near the Andothren docks. If he's not home, Helvi says I should ask around Andothren. | |
20 | Gavros Falas was nowhere to be found in his home, but I found a threatening letter in his desk. | |
30 | I met Gavros Falas's nephew, Honon Falas, in the Dancing Cup tavern. Honon believes that Gavros has been murdered. He gave me a copy of his uncle's last correspondence with him. | |
35 | I read a letter to Honon written by Gavros. It mentions a merchant in Almas Thirr called Darane Navur who he planned to meet in a cave called Molkobal. | |
40 | Darane Navur, an Indoril merchant, admitted she had brokered a trade partnership with Gavros Falas. She said she cut ties with him after Gavros began smuggling ash statues. She thinks that Gavros' death was just, but claims that she didn't kill him. | |
60 | I've found Gavros Falas' corpse. He was carrying a journal describing the final period of his life. If I have enough evidence, I should return to Dreynos Helvi and tell him who I believe murdered Gavros Falas. | |
100 | I told Dreynos Helvi that Darane was responsible for Gavros Falas' murder. Dreynos Helvi said this is just another regretful symptom of the brewing conflict along the Thirr River. | |
101 | I told Dreynos Helvi that the Camonna Tong was responsible for Gavros Falas' murder. Dreynos Helvi warned me against accusing the Camonna Tong without proof. He said that I have gained enough evidence to satisfy their investigation, and that the House will take over to find "the real killer". | |
102 | I told Dreynos Helvi that the Sixth House was responsible for Gavros Falas' murder. Dreynos Helvi asked me to keep quiet about this, so this does not raise a panic. | |
103 | I told Dreynos Helvi that the Sixth House was responsible for Gavros Falas' murder. Dreynos Helvi thanked me for clearing this up, but thought they were no longer a threat with Dagoth Ur dead. | |
The Missing Merchant (TR_m4_And_MissingMerchant2) | ||
50 | I met a confused Dunmer in an alley of Andothren. He seemed to know Gavros Falas by name, but could not give me much information on what happened to him. | |
51 | I met a former Sleeper, Sathes Barnalo, in an alley of Andothren. He seems to believe the Sixth House killed Gavros Falas, and gave me directions to the site of his corpse. He can be found in a cave on an island a short distance east of Andothren. | |
60 | I found an ash statue during my investigation. Perhaps this holds some clues to Gavros' disappearance. |
