The Bloodworm Helm is an artifact helmet created by Mannimarco, the King of Worms. Improving the Bloodworm Helm requires two Bone Meal and the Arcane Blacksmith perk.

NotesEdit

  • The Bloodworm Helm has previously appeared in Morrowind and Oblivion. For more information, see the lore article.
  • The helm actually increases the magnitude of all spells cast on undead, not just damage-dealing ones.
    • This effect stacks multiplicitively with Necromage. The two effects together apply a multiplier of 1.56.
    • This effect is applied as a perk, not as an enchantment.
    • This includes the player if the player is a Vampire and then certain Active Effects can and will be increased in magnitude by the helm.
      • Transforming into Vampire Lord form and reverting form will cause enchantments to stop benefitting from the Bloodworm Helm until they are unequipped and re-equipped. This occurs because effects must be applied after equipping the Helm and transforming and reverting will unequip and re-equip items simultaneously. This also means that permanent effects that are removed and reapplied when transforming and reverting will permanently lose the enhancement from the Bloodworm Helm, if they were previously receiving it.
  • The helm actually only increases damage dealt by specific weapon types, preventing it from increasing the damage of unarmed attacks or uncategorized weapons like forks, knives or woodcutter's axes.
    • Any Fortify Unarmed enchantments applied while wearing the Bloodworm Helm are still enhanced if the Dragonborn is undead.
  • Despite being a light armor helmet, the Bloodworm Helm does not benefit from the matching set perk with any set of light armor.
