Project Tamriel (commonly abbreviated as PT) is a collection of collaborative fan-based modding projects working together to create all of Tamriel in Morrowind's engine, except for the Morrowind mainland and Black Marsh. The provinces are based on earlier lore and a much larger-scaled world so that they can fit seamlessly with the original game. Two major mods within Project Tamriel are currently available and in active development, Skyrim: Home of the Nords and Province: Cyrodiil, with a number of other projects in the planning stages.
Tamriel Rebuilt is another major province mod, but it is not considered part of Project Tamriel. The two projects share assets through Tamriel Data and are meant to complement each other.
Both Tribunal and Bloodmoon are required to play these mods.
Released Projects
- Skyrim: Home of the Nords (SHotN) — A project to create all of Skyrim and Roscrea, starting in the Reach
- Province: Cyrodiil (P:C) — A project to create all of Cyrodiil, starting with Stirk

- Project Hammerfell — A project in early development stages to create Hammerfell, starting in Rihad
- High Rock 427 (HR427) — A project in early development stages to create High Rock, starting with the easternmost Dragonfields region

Notes
- Project Tamriel encompasses all province mods west of Morrowind.
- This leaves Black Marsh, which Tamriel Rebuilt has reserved as a future project called Eye of Argonia, once mainland Morrowind is complete.
- Anything east of Morrowind falls within the Padomaic Isles mod project, which has not yet seen a public release.
- The province mod TES3A: Abecean Isles that was developing Stros M'Kai and nearby islands, merged in early 2024 with Project Hammerfell.
- The names of the Black Marsh and Elsweyr projects reference Eye of Argonia and Paradise Sugar, two canceled sequels to Redguard.
- Project Outreach was a previous project to create Elsweyr which was abandoned and has since been replaced by Elsweyr: Paradise Sugar.
Maps
Nirn
The Gridmap portrayed here shows all Project Tamriel, Tamriel Rebuilt, and Padomaic Isles landmasses, as well as theoretical areas for Yokuda (west), Pyandonea (south), and Akavir (east).
Note: The overall Gridmap is infrequently updated due to its extreme size and the difficulty of syncing updates from the individual provinces. Refer to the province maps for the most recent design decisions.
