Detailed WalkthroughEdit

DutiesEdit

Talk to Eranthos about duties, she'll tell you that the Direnni send one of their clan, Ciirarril Direnni, took up residence in the ruin of Angturiel lately, and she wants you to find out what he wants and ensure that the Mages Guild retains acccess to the ruin for archaeological purposes. Eranthos advices you to buy some levitate potions before you go.

Travel to AngturielEdit

Angturiel is to the far north of Dragonstar, on the border with Hammerfell. You should exit Dragonstar West through the North Gate and keep going north, when you get to the mesa you should levitate or jump on it and keep going north, past the Nargozh Camp and until you reach ANgturiel, If you don't have a means of levitating, instead after you exit the north gate, take the first turn left until you see a small slope running up the hill to your right, follow it and keep heading north until you get to the mesa. When you get to the mesa, go west and keep going while holding the mesa to your right, after some time you'll see another slope going up. Keep going north east until you see Angturiel.

Meeting DirenniEdit

To get to Ciirarril Direnni, you need to go right from the entrance and find your way all the way to the top of the tower, on your way you'll encounter bats, spiders and some Daedra some come prepared. When you reached the top, enter the door to Windweaver Dome, don't forget to pick up Direnni Tome: Codex Remora on the table, and exit through the other door, cross the bridge and enter Cloudshaper Dome. At the top of Cloudshaper Dome you'll find Ciirarril Direnni. When you talk to him he'll say he is inclined to work together with the Guild, if you kill a Hagraven named Galkintha for him. The Hagraven can be found in the Tempest Depths.

Find the HagEdit

To get to the Tempest Depths, you need to go all the way down again to the entrance of Angturiel, Skyanchor Halls. This time take the left door instead of going right and follow the stairs down to the Tempest Depths. In the Temple Depths, go straight through the big chamber. Once in the corridor, take the stairs down to your right and then the stairs down to your left. Kill or ignore Cnorgran and Vernoren and unlock the door in the room, this will take you to the Oscenna part of Angturiel. Walk through the tunnel and drop in the hole in the ground, keep going forward and you'll encounter the Hagraven, kill it, and don't forget to take the necklace Corrharaigh which lies on the altar, in the skull.

Return to DirenniEdit

Now if you have a high jump or levitate spell, you can go back the way you came, otherwise you'll have to take the long route and battle Reachmen on the way until you reach the door to Falkheim. Circle back to Angturiel and return to Ciirarril Direnni. Talk to Ciirarril and he'll tell you he wants to work together with the Mages Guild, as long as they help him rebuild the place. He'll also teach you some words in Aldmeri, which can be used on the Magus Console in the same room. Now that a deal has been brokered its time to return to Eranthos.

Back to the GuildEdit

Go back to the Guild in Dragonstar and tell Eranthos about your success, she'll give you 130 Gold, 2 Quality Fortify Magicka Potions and the conjuration skill book Origin of the Sload. If Ciirarril died, she'll give you 40 Gold and the Origin of the Sload book.

NotesEdit

• After completing this quest and if you are a member of the Skyrim Mages Guild, Eranthos will write you a letter of recommendation.

He told me that Clan Direnni had sent him to restore the old stronghold, but in the absence of funding or other support from them, he would be prepared to collaborate with the Mages Guild in this endeavour. However, he insisted that I kill the Hagraven deep beneath Angturiel before he will speak further.
30		I have killed Galkintha, the Hagraven beneath Angturiel.
40		I reported my success to Ciirarril.
50		Ciirarril Direnni is prepared to allow the Guild to retain access to archaeological sites in the Reach, but wants the Guild's assistance in restoring Angturiel. That decision is up to Eranthos.
90		Ciirarril Direnni was killed.
100	Finishes quest	Eranthos thanked me for allowing the Guild to form a partnership with Ciirarril Direnni.
110	Finishes quest	Eranthos felt that Ciirarril's death might strain relations with Clan Direnni, but rewarded me for resolving the situation in Angturiel nonetheless.
