Detailed WalkthroughEdit
City under SiegeEdit
Upon entering the dungeon, you encounter a wounded Nord named Gurund who beseeches you to send aid to Falkreath from the other holds of Skyrim. Sensing the result of the battle is still indecisive, you volunteer to help and drive back the Reachmen-Minotaur alliance and save the hold. Accepting your help, Gurund points you towards the main road that leads to the gates. On the way there, you encounter Morrigh Bullblood, the Siege Master of the Dreadhorn Clan and slay her before finally reaching the main gate. There, you witness the Reachmen using a Siege Mammoth to try to break down the gates of the city. Before it is allowed to do so, you are able to fight it in combat and slay it, bringing a brief reprieve to the embattled defenders. Welcoming your aid, they open the gate to allow you into the hold.
Retreat to the Halls of the DeadEdit
After entering the city, you meet Eerika Skjoralmor, the thane of Falkreath Hold and leader of the resistance. She outlines her plan to retreat to the Halls of the Dead with civilians and hold the line there against the invaders with her remaining soldiers. She requests your aid in clearing the path and giving her enough time to rally everyone. Cutting a path through the Reachmen ends in an encounter with three Reachmen necromancers that are attempting to raise the dead beneath the city to serve as their thralls. Even after defeating them and the malevolent Cernunnon summoned by them, they succeed in their goal and enslave the Draugr within the Halls to strike at anyone that enters. Eerika implores you to cleanse the dead and drive the hostile Reachmen specters from the Halls so that they can reach the Jarl's Hall at the summit. Before the exit, the spirit of Cernunnon possesses the body of Deathlord Bjarfrud Skjoralmor and unleashes him on you. Slaying him releases the hold of the specter and finally clears the path to the Jarl's Hall.
The Decisive BattleEdit
Entering the Jarl's Hall, you encounter a belligerent Jarl Skjoralmor who asks you who has won the battle that is raging outside. Before you could answer, the leader of the siege, Domihaus the Bloody-Horned, bursts through the window behind them and crushed the Jarl beneath his hooves before proclaiming that the Hall is his. Undeterred, you battle the ferocious minotaur and come out top, slaying him and finally ending the siege of Falkreath. Eerika and her companions enter the Hall and mourn the death of their Jarl. Eerika becomes the next Jarl, and her first act is to make you the Thane of Falkreath for saving the city when all hope seemed to be lost.

Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
I encountered a wounded soldier who begged me to help keep the city from falling to the encroaching army. He told me to find a Thane named Eerika at the gates, but I must break through the enemy line to reach her.
Objective: Reach the Siege of Falkreath Hold
I have spotted the enemy's Siege Master. Killing her would hamper the Reachmen's plans to breach Falkreath's defenses.
Objective: Kill Morrigh Bullblood
I defeated the enemy siege master, but Falkreath's main gate is still under attack. The Reachmen are using a massive beast as a living battering ram. I will have to kill it before the defenders can unbar the gate and allow me to enter the city.
Objective: Kill the Siege Mammoth
I slew the siege beast and halted the Reachmen's advance on the main gate. The leader of the defenders, Thane Eerika Skjoralmor, has asked me to join her within Falkreath Hold.
Objective: Enter Falkreath Hold
Eerika warned me that the city is surrounded and the outer walls are sure to be breached soon. She wants to evacuate the common people to the Hall of the Dead. I must fight off invaders to buy them time to escape.
Objective: Reach the Hall of the Dead
The Hall of the Dead is blocked by Reachmen conducting some sort of unholy ritual. I must defeat these shamans and whatever spirits they have conjured threatening the Hall of the Dead.
Objective: Kill the Spiritmasters and Cernunnon
The shamans are defeated, but the malevolent spirits escaped into the Hall of the Dead. I must find Eerika within and ensure the survivors' safety.
Objective: Find Eerika Skjoralmor within the Hall of the Dead
The spirits called by the Reachmen have possessed the Nord dead and are attacking the living. The Hall of the Dead must be cleansed of this new menace in order to reach the Jarl's Hall.
Objective: Cleanse the Hall of the Dead
With the way clear, the survivors can reach the Jarl's Hall. Eerika asked me to join the defenders there for what will be Falkreath's last stand.
Objective: Reach the Jarl's Hall
The enemy warlord, a fearsome minotaur, breached the Jarl's Hall and slew the Jarl in an instant. It'll demolish what is left of the hold if it isn't stopped soon.
Objective: Kill Domihaus the Bloody-Horned
I defeated the enemy general, sending the Reachmen and minotaurs into a rout. The day is won, but the cost was high. I should speak to Eerika Skjoralmor about what is to come next.
Objective: Talk to Eerika Skjoralmor

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
