Stonehills is a mining community found in the region of Hjaalmarch, within the province of Skyrim. It is found east of Morthal. Stonehills contains Rockwallow Mine, which is a small Iron mine owned by a Thane of Solitude.

History[edit]

During the Imperial Simulacrum in the late Third Era, the town of Stonehills was an active settlement. It was ruled by Duke Vlrarke, and it had a rivalry with Dragon Bridge.[1] Stonehills was neighbored by several settlements, including Dawnstar to the northeast, and Dunstad Grove to the southwest.[2]

During the Skyrim Civil War in 4E 201, Stonehills became the investment of Thane Bryling of Solitude, who use the mining site to produce shipments of Iron. The settlement was administrated by Sorli the Builder and her husband, Pactur, to manage Rockwallow Mine, and make sure that the Iron is successfully shipped to Solitude.[3][4]
