ArchivesEdit

I've set up your archives... if you want, instead of linking directly to Archive 1 from here, you could link to User talk:ModderElGrande/Archive, and you could put the link to Archive 1 there. Let me know if I can help with anything else --GKtalk2me 16:51, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks again GK! =D --ModderElGrande 16:52, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. Since they're in your userspace, if you want I can speedy delete "User:ModderElGrande/TalkArchives" and "User:ModderElGrande/TalkArchives/1", since they're not really necessary. --GKtalk2me 16:56, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, please could you do that? Thanks GK! --ModderElGrande 16:56, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Talk page editsEdit

I think you may have figured this out based on your self-reversion on Elliot's talk page, but just so you know, it's generally considered a user's right to remove messages from their own talk page if they wish. This comes from the Wikipedia policy here, though we differ from Wikipedia on the topic of removing warnings. Robin HoodTalk 19:47, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I didn't really know that before. Thanks for the heads up RH! --ModderElGrande 19:52, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
NP. I learned that the hard way myself, reverting someone's talk page edits on WP until someone pointed out the policy to me. :) Robin HoodTalk 20:11, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Lol yeah, I've learnt a lot of other things the hard way too, like not being allowed to edit other people's talk posts. I remember back in my early when Wolok gro-Barok pointed that out to me when I edited a post on Warp9pnt9's talk page. --ModderElGrande 20:16, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

RE: Good jobEdit

Hey thanks for the cookie, that means a lot. I'm hoping to do a lot of work for the NPC redesign project. Jayden Matthews 20:12, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Cool. I'll help you if you want! --ModderElGrande 20:13, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Celedaen and J'GhastaEdit

Hey ModderElGrande. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were wondering why I reverted your edits - J'Ghasta is the first fake contract the player recieves from Bellamont. This is evidenced from the fact that the parchment and handwritting of the dead drops change after Celedaen is killed. Thanks for listening. Jayden Matthews 12:39, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... I always thought they were all fake, hang on, I'll look that up in the CS. --ModderElGrande 12:42, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Nope. Here's a quote from Lacance. Your first Dead Drop you carried out as ordered, killed Celedaen, and then, betrayal!. J'Ghasta, Shaleez, Alval Uvani, Speakers and Silencers all. And Ungolim, the Listener himself!. Jayden Matthews 12:46, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
He could have meant Celedaen was also a member of the DB as in like saying "and then disaster!" If you get what I mean. --ModderElGrande 12:50, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
I do. But if Lucien said as ordered that means the contract was carried out correctly, Right? So why would the Balck Hand want one of it's own dead? Perhaps we should ask someone with more knowledge on the subject. Jayden Matthews 12:55, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah we probably should, but now seeing your evidence, I'm now thinking that you're right and I'm wrong. I guess everyone makes mistakes lol. --ModderElGrande 12:57, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry about, it's not a big deal. If you want to double check with someone else, just to be sure, that's cool. The popularity of the Dark Brotherhood always spooks me. Jayden Matthews 13:03, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I've noticed that all evil guilds that involving theft, murder and other bad things are always the more popular ones. --ModderElGrande 13:05, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the Cookies!Edit

Wow, thanks for the cookiees. Tasty!!! Jayden Matthews 13:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Lol, you're welcome! Let me know if I can help you out again sometime. --ModderElGrande 13:17, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
You could do me a favour and give your opinion on my recent post on Mathieu Bellamont's talk page, if you want to that is. Jayden Matthews 13:25, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Sure. --ModderElGrande 13:26, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. Jayden Matthews 13:31, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

ChallengerEdit

Just so I don't have to spend large amounts of time tracking down the file, can you tell me where you found the file or info behing this statement? Thanks! Robin HoodTalk 06:16, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

If you've got software that can extract the bsa files (such as the BSA Broswer that comes with Oblivion Mod Manager), upload a bsa file called "Oblivion Textures" to the BSA Browser and click Sort (this is if you're using the OBMM BSA Broswer)Then find the following...
textures\menu50\stats\arena_guild_rank_icons\guild_arena_challenger.dds
Extract it, and if you can convert it into something like a jpg file or something like that, you'll see it looks nearly the same as the rank "hero" except there's a little banner at the bottom of the icon. Hope this helps! --ModderElGrandeTalk contribs 07:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Here are the images...
  Challenger
  Hero
Just so that you don't confused that they're both the same icon and rank. --ModderElGrandeTalk contribs 07:25, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
It's interesting that there's an unused texture, but Bethesda must have removed it before the game was released: you can see here that there's no such rank. rpeh •TCE 07:59, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Perfect, thanks MEG. Oh and for future reference, I've done some modding of my own, so just the name of the BSA and the file within it would've been fine. But thanks for the explanation anyway. :) Robin HoodTalk 08:35, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

500 Edits!Edit

Yes! I have now hit my 500th edit! =D --ModderElGrandeTalk Contribs 18:31, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Gratz! Now set a goal to get up into the top 50 editors and it will keep you going.--Corevette789 19:55, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Will do! Who's the 50th top editor? --ModderElGrandeTalk Contribs 20:04, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
I think I just passed Dagoth Ur Madgod you can see it here.--Corevette789 20:08, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
No, you passed LordDagon. Ob boy, looks like LordDagon's my new target! I'm currently 75 in the list. --ModderElGrandeTalk Contribs 20:10, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

ProtectionEdit

You don't just protect a page by adding a template to it: only an admin can add protection. I've removed the template to stop that page showing up in the list of protected pages. rpeh •TCE 20:50, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Thanks for the heads up. --ModderElGrandeTalk Contribs 20:51, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

"Final Warning"sEdit

Thank you for all the work you've been putting in; I've noticed you and a couple others (though I can't remember who) using the "Final Warning" whatchamacallit on some user talk pages. That's probably not a good idea, since we block after the first warning. Since they'll be blocked, it's rather misleading to tell them it's a "final warning". If an account or IP continues after being warned, try either posting on my or Timenn's talk page, or on the Vandalism subpage of the Admin Noticeboard. Thanks again. --GKtalk2me 21:34, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I've seen other users put final warning as well so I thought we could do that. --ModderElGrandeTalk Contribs 07:51, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

ThanksEdit

You were the first perosn to give me a cookie I just wanted to say thanks, it was awhile ago and I went by a different name but still, thank you.
