Egads! We haven't given you a proper welcome, either? I've come to recognize and respect your name on recent changes, but we haven't even said "Hi, welcome, thanks for being a tremendously good editor!" at all? Well, geez, let me say all those and more right now.

Hi, and welcome to the team. You're really helpful, and obviously knowledgable. Would you like a hug? Somercy 10:45, 7 September 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for a truly great welcome, Somercy! I am really pleased to know that I have been helpful. As I've said in my user-page, I have derived a lot of benefit from this site. So, I just want to give something back to this great community, in whatever small way I can. --Mankar Camoran 11:07, 7 September 2007 (EDT)

Nice work on all the linkingEdit

You have been given a cookie!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

I've noticed all the work you've put in on adding all those necessary links. Keep it up!--Willyhead 16:25, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Willy. I am really enjoying this! --Mankar Camoran 16:38, 16 September 2007 (EDT)

Gee, Make My Day...!Edit

I'm glad you like my story, then. I'm wondering how to add you into the Editorverse, as your name seems to come from a chara in Oblivion...Sorta like that user Hecerinde; I don't know how to go. Have a spare name I can use to signify you? Maybe keeping the intitials MC? Ah, well. Thanks again for the loving review! Somercy 10:12, 17 September 2007 (EDT)

Cluttering LinksEdit

Re my reversion of your changes to Prince of Madness... See Avoid Cluttering Links. It's not desirable to link to everything that's linkable -- rather only to the pages that are particularly relevant to the article. Cheers... --Wrye 18:46, 25 September 2007 (EDT)

Discussion moved to UESPWiki:Community_Portal#Cluttering_Links. --Wrye 14:06, 26 September 2007 (EDT)

Happy-happy!Edit

You have been given an apple dipped in honey!

Apples dipped in honey are a traditional symbol of a sweet new year. The user who sent you this wishes you the best in the coming year. --Somercy 09:19, 28 September 2007 (EDT)

Thank you, love. It was actually fun to make it. I've been trying to learn syntax and such, and this was a test. So, is it just me, or are we busy today. Lotsa new users and all? Somercy 09:27, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
See Recent Changes. There seem to be a lot of newbs about and editing. Mostly asking dumb questions. Somercy 09:36, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
Ah, don't worry about it. It's more the spammers and the one malicious freak posting "Anto is gay" who annoy me. Somercy 09:50, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
And we're much better for talking about them? Ah, well. I'ma go fix shit, okay? Somercy 10:01, 28 September 2007 (EDT)

I'm Honored.Edit

Wow, you want me as a mentor? Well, sure! I mean, I'm not Nephele or Rpeh, to be some wiki-guru. I'll admit I still have some problems I go to them for. But, certainly, I'd be glad to help you out whenever I can. And if I see you doing something wonky, I'll tell you. By the way, I'm blushing in delight right now... --Somercy 09:14, 1 October 2007 (EDT)

Well, geez! Didn't Dante's inferno include a space in hell for flatterers and panderers? If so, you may be in trouble. But seriously, I always thought that by the time new editors find the mentor page, they're usually decent at editing, and only need refinement. And you're doing pretty well, okay? Somercy 10:07, 1 October 2007 (EDT)
Let me summarize it as simply as I can--don't be a dickhead. I mean, someone makes a bad edit, correct them and help them grow. Disagree on something? Be calm about it. Have personal issues with someone? Avoid them. If there's a problem that you're getting emotional about, take it to an admin or someone else. But in general, we're all here to have fun. So, let's. I'm a big believer in the "Wiki Community" that's not seen in the community portal. But if that's not possible, let's at least be civil. Somercy 10:25, 1 October 2007 (EDT)
There's no one who has rubbed you the wrong way? Lucky. I'll admit even I have people I tend to avoid. I get emotional, too. Heck, just seeing that you wanted me as a mentor really made my day. It's not that there's a problem with them. It's how we respond to them. And dear, you're not childish. You're just insecure about diving in. How can you be childish if you're older than me? Somercy 10:53, 1 October 2007 (EDT)
*hugs* Mankar, don't worry, I'll do as you ask. And if I make a male version of the userbox--I have an idea planned--I'll tell you right away! Somercy 10:14, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
Ahnassi thanks the gods that this user is male. He's quite sexy.

Somercy 10:03, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

It's a picture of Ahnassi, an NPC who is enamored with your character in Morrowind if you're male. I may do another version later, but that's what came to mind first. Somercy 10:15, 3 October 2007 (EDT)
Again, I may do another version. It depends on how busy I am elsewhere today. Somercy 10

Beggars can't be choosers. You can always go to UESPWiki:Userboxes and try and do something yourself...I mean, you probably know what you want better than I could. Somercy 10:38, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

I was thinking of making one with an image of the god Vivec...the pun is unavaoidable. Unfortunately, the period ends in ten minutes...ech. Somercy 10:45, 3 October 2007 (EDT)
We all know this user is a god

Okay, here's the drabble version. Somercy 10:52, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

Thank you, thank you. Here's my question--is Vivec the god really "discerning with wisdom"? Maybe that is where they got it. Draugr, from Bloodmoon, are from a Norse type of zombie. Somercy 10:58, 3 October 2007 (EDT)
I see you're both having fun fiddling with userboxes. I've also been messing about a little with them! You can see 'em here. For anybody who is reading this now you have my permission to use any of the userboxes included in my sandbox. They're all about getting rid of spam (thought it could be a good idea with all the recent spam attacks ;) ).--Willyhead 10:45, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Willy. --Mankar Camoran 10:55, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Favorite QuotesEdit

You may like to know (if you don't already) that you can use the Construction Set to export a list of all the dialogue in the game. Go to the Character menu and select Export Dialogue. It will take a long time to run but you end up with quite a helpful text file that's easy to search. --RpehTalk 13:55, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that (I don't know much about the Construction Set, actually). That was very helpful. --Mankar Camoran 14:56, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
If the truth be told; neither do I. I dislike the CS's interface and when I'm grabbing data, prefer to write my own code to do it. Still - I saw your sandbox and thought you might appreciate the knowledge. There are all sorts of things to be found in there! --RpehTalk 16:01, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
You are right. There are lots of things there. And you are always welcome to share your knowledge with me. I really appreciate any help I receive. I always keep looking for things to learn. --Mankar Camoran 16:16, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

Have another CookieEdit

You have been given a cookie!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

I've got to say I admire your attitude on the site. One of the wiki guidelines is "Be bold in your edits" - and you certainly do that; but if somebody reverts your changes you calmly discuss the reasons on a talk page somewhere. There are few people on this site that could not learn from your example! (myself included :/ ) May your good work continue. --RpehTalk 15:38, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Rpeh. I really appreciate it. And I will certainly try to keep going (in fact, keep improving). Moreover, all the people here are very cooperative. That really helps! --Mankar Camoran 15:48, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
And I have also learnt from you, Rpeh. I really admire the way you discuss things. --Mankar Camoran 16:10, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Lot of credit for it should actually go to my mentor, Somercy. --Mankar Camoran 16:48, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
What did I say about flattery, Vivek? I find myself blushing again! Somercy 17:42, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
And yet he works to make me blush harder. Thanks, dear...chocolate chip are my favorites. Somercy 10:00, 5 October 2007 (EDT)

Hey "God"Edit

Hey, I liked the God template on the user page, mind if I steal it? --Jesus lover 16:58, 10 October 2007 (EDT)

Yes, he was a Jew, and even a great rabbi, but it still seems sorta preachy to take that name for forums. It's declaring it so blaringly, at first I was afraid he'd be against me. Apparantly not so. Ah, well. I'd rather not talk religion deeply and seriously here, if you didn't mind. And I'm glad y'all like my userboxes. I'll make more when I'm not so busy. Somercy 10:34, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks Somercy. And thanks Mankar. I see i have at least met one more christian on this site. I am glad this isn't another site where you can't be open about your religon. Well thank yall --Jesus lover 17:06, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Layout HelpEdit

You might want to look at the {{NewLine}}, {{NewLeft}} and {{NewRight}} templates to help with your layouts. I just saw you've gone for the dreaded dozens-of-newlines approach! --RpehTCE 09:32, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks, Rpeh. I knew I had done something wrong there! --Mankar Camoran 09:35, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

UserboxEdit

Just letting you know I made a template, so you can replace that manual-Userbox with {{User Indian}}, which will also add the relvant categories. --TheRealLurlock Talk 15:27, 12 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks, Lurlock. --Mankar Camoran 15:31, 12 October 2007 (EDT)

CampsitesEdit

I just spotted you adding the map links to the camp sites (yes, Big Brother IS watching!) If you're already working on those, could you take a look at what I've just done to Brotch Camp and see if you feel like doing the same for the others? On that page I've transcluded the Description sub-page rather than have separate text describing the location. The Places Summary usually does that, but since we don't use it for campsites it needs doing manually. They already have map links but not very good ones (coordinates rather than location) so if you're already fixing them it seemed like an ideal project merge! --RpehTCE 06:19, 21 October 2007 (EDT)

Yes, it is a good idea. And most of the place descriptions have coordinate map links. Don't you think it will be better to fix them all? I'll gladly do that but it will take some time. --Mankar Camoran 06:45, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
I'd say it makes more sense to link to a readable name than a seemingly random series of digits. Don't worry about it taking a long time. Background projects like that are quite useful to have as it means you've always got something to go back to. --RpehTCE 06:59, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
Alright, I'll start as soon as possible. Thank you, Big Brother! --Mankar Camoran 07:12, 21 October 2007 (EDT)

A Grand EditorEdit

The latest to hit the thousand edit mark - congratulations! --RpehTCE 05:30, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks a lot, Big Brother :). --Mankar Camoran 09:18, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Ah, Mankar, the best part about your nomination is that we won't have to patrol all your edits anymore. Less work for me! But seriously, love. Congrats in advance. You make me proud. Somercy 19:13, 2 November 2007 (EDT)

Because I'm weird and I flop like that. I call myself everything from Mercy to Some Other Mercy at times...Somercy 19:29, 3 November 2007 (EDT)

QuestionEdit

How do you make your own templates like your " We all know this user is a god" Western3589 10:29, 4 November 2007 (EST)

That is actually a userbox. It is quite easy to make. Just give it 2 colours and an image. You can find instructions here. That particular one was not made by me, BTW. --Mankar CamoranTCE 10:47, 4 November 2007 (EST)
That didn't make much sense, Where can i find the color codes?Western3589 10:52, 4 November 2007 (EST)
Any set of alphabets similar to the one given in the example can be used as a colour code. Just use the preview button to see whether you like it. That's what I do.--Mankar CamoranTCE 10:57, 4 November 2007 (EST)
Thanks, but something is wrong with my profile the text is small to the left of the page, whats wrong?Western3589 11:12, 4 November 2007 (EST)
You can make the image smaller by typing |#px infront of it. --Mankar CamoranTCE 11:14, 4 November 2007 (EST)
A lot more detailed guide to creating UBXs can be found on WikiPedia. And Wikipedia also has very handy listings of colours along with their respective hexadecimal values - see this (web colours with hex values) and this (list of colours with hex values). I hope my unasked-for/unsolicited links will be of some use here. ;) - Vishruth 11:25, 4 November 2007 (EST)

What are you doing here?! Those links would be more useful to User:Western3589. You can try posting it on his talk page. --Mankar CamoranTCE 11:30, 4 November 2007 (EST)

Oops. My bad. But I figured he'd be able to see it here anyway. - Vishruth 11:39, 4 November 2007 (EST)
I saw it, but I still don't understand the whole concept about it. For now I don't need it until I can find a decent picture representing necromancy in some way on Uesp.Western3589 11:43, 4 November 2007 (EST)
What about these [1], [2]? Aren't they good? --Mankar CamoranTCE 11:58, 4 November 2007 (EST)
Yes, but I'm looking for more of a guild sign such as the emblem on the necromancers robes, or even a picture of a black soul gem, which brings me to the question, how do you upload pictures off your computer to Wiki:Uesp?- Western3589 12:11, 4 November 2007 (EST)
You can follow this link, but I am not an expert on images. If you can't figure out how to do it, please ask Nephele or Eshe. They are currently online now and they know a lot more than I. --Mankar CamoranTCE 12:18, 4 November 2007 (EST)
Thanks, now how do I make '|#px ' work, i want to make one of my images bigger so it fits in with the rest of my user boxes. --Western3589 12:40, 4 November 2007 (EST)
You have to type it after the image. Something like "{{Userbox|#CCF|#EEF|[[Image:Destructionicon_base.png|50px]]|info=This user is a master of Destruction.}}" may work. Feel free to change the number in accordance with your liking. --Mankar CamoranTCE 14:49, 4 November 2007 (EST)

Congrats!Edit

You're now a patroller! Feel free to add the patroller userbox to your user page; {{User Patroller}} --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 23:20, 7 November 2007 (EST)

Thanks, Guildknight. I would also like to thank all the people who supported me, and of course, Daveh because he is the one who actually made me a patroller. --Mankar CamoranTCE 08:22, 8 November 2007 (EST)

Well DeservedEdit

You have been given a cookie!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

For being curteous, polite, having etiquette and being a considerate and thoughtful user! You absolutely deserve this, not just for helping me around, but for your general personality on the Wiki. Keep up the good work! --HMSVictory 11:19, 24 November 2007 (EST)

I guess the only question now is; where are the Barnstars? Well done!

Thanks a lot, HMSVictory. Always nice to be appreciated :). Etiquette actually reminds me of some other person. Unfortunately, she has disappeared... --Mankar CamoranTCE 11:25, 24 November 2007 (EST)
I've previously said how courteous you are ;). And don't worry about "some other person"; she'll be back! --RpehTCE 12:06, 24 November 2007 (EST)
Hmm... I'm guessing; Ex-lover or Nephele (not that I'm hinting to any relation between the two). Anyway, the important thing is that you are a valuable user to have on this Wiki.Oh, and, by the way, there's another YTMND site on my page now. Come and take a look! --HMSVictory 12:09, 24 November 2007 (EST)
There, changed it. Damn typos. Happy now, Rpeh? I hope you are! --HMSVictory 12:10, 24 November 2007 (EST)
Rpeh whistles and taps his foot whilst looking at his watch... ;) --RpehTCE 12:28, 24 November 2007 (EST)
Sorry for the delay (I was actually off-line) and thanks for the news, Rpeh! I was really wondering about her. --Mankar CamoranTCE 13:38, 24 November 2007 (EST)
You know, Mankar Camoran, mentioning "her" and "she" constantly is only going to make us more inquisitive. Besides, I'm sure you'd rather we were off your back concerning personal matters. --HMSVictory 07:51, 25 November 2007 (EST)

Actually, I was about to tell you more, but I got a little busy last night. I was referring to Somercy. The reason is actually well known. As you can see, Rpeh understood immediately! Obviously you wouldn't have known because you weren't here then. She mentored me. I was a little apprehensive initially. I really owe her a lot, to be honest. She gave me some very useful tips on etiquette and such matters. So naturally, I was reminded of her when you mentioned etiquette. Also, you never need to worry about asking me anything. Feel free to ask if you want to know. I have no problems with it. --Mankar CamoranTCE 08:29, 25 November 2007 (EST)

Well, it is good that we got that cleared up! But anyway, I'm new here, so I'm really inexperienced, so therefore don't expect me to be very wise on such matters. Anyway, I mentioned that I might need a mentor myself, but Rpeh seems to think that I'm past that stage. What do you think? --HMSVictory 13:55, 25 November 2007 (EST)
I guess the only person who truly knows is yourself. If you have any doubts feel free to ask any of the mentors on the site. We are always ready to help. --Mankar CamoranTCE 14:05, 25 November 2007 (EST)
AS you'd expect, I believe that I am completely unsuitable for the job of being a mentor or patroller, lacking in both poise and experience, but if you check Rpeh's talk page and mine you will see his reasons. He can't be right, can he? --HMSVictory 14:12, 25 November 2007 (EST)
Rpeh is usually right, and as he has pointed out, nobody's going to nominate you without asking so you don't need to worry. You have been doing a wonderful job as a contributor and keep up the good work! Those positions aren't really necessary to be a helpful editor. You are already very helpful. You will know instinctively when you are ready to be nominated. So don't trouble yourself too much with these things! --Mankar CamoranTCE 07:59, 26 November 2007 (EST)
"Very helpful?" I don't think so. I am too minor in this site to be worth worrying about. I have not ranspired to anything good, and if I will, that time is too far away to think about now. Rpeh has only made one point: That I am not worthy of any of those ranks. My contrivutions have had no effect so far, and I doubt that they will. If you have anyhting else to say, please leave a message on my talk page. --HMSVictory 11:15, 26 November 2007 (EST)

Thank You!Edit
