Hidden PassageEdit

There seems to be a hidden passage in here without a handle to open it (northern part of local map, small room, you can see a path starting from the room and the moveable rock shape on the wall. Perhaps I'm blind. Or it relates to another quest than recovering the 4 journals perhaps? — Unsigned comment by 69.157.176.205 (talk) at 05:20 on 4 December 2011

nevermind.... just the way out later. — Unsigned comment by 69.157.176.205 (talk) at 05:27 on 4 December 2011
After defeating Arondil, there is a way to the east before entering the room. Follow the path, use the key for master-locked door and go up the stairs. The hidden way is a one-way-go-back-to-the-dungeon-entry passage that has lever on the OTHER side. Cheers — Unsigned comment by 78.172.53.26 (talk) at 23:15 on 21 February 2013 (GMT)

Inner SanctumEdit

In his fourth journal Arondil indicates there is "an inner sanctum deeper still within Yngvild," but there is no door in the second room that would lead to a third area. Any ideas? 74.76.141.81 02:20, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Most likely the inner sanctum is the throne room, i think. --MortenOSlash 22:12, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Missing ClothesEdit

"a Nord, a Redguard, and a Breton whose clothes are missing."

In my play their clothes were still on, guess I arrived too early :) 71.132.201.220 22:07, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Same here - going to remove the detail Krag 00:14, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
They all had their clothes on for me too. But I think this might be a random bug that can happen on any corpse, because it happened on one in a different dungeon for me. She had clothes in her inventory, and it had the arrow pointing like they were equipped, but she appeared naked. I think it's just the clothing not being rendered on the body, same as how sometimes you'll enter an area and a missing texture makes walls invisible. EmmBee 10:03, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

All FemaleEdit

Did anyone notice if all the NPCs except Anrondil are all female? even his ghost "wife." It's pretty darn creepy... EDIT: Nevermind its already spelled out in his character page ;) 75.80.97.155 04:38, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

locked chestEdit

Does the locked chest always have "Conjure Flame Atronach" in it? It always does for me, 5 tries, doesn't seem random. If so, probably should be added to the Conjure Flame Atronach item locations?
--DayDreamer 14:24, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

There are actually two locked chests, but both are random. You're probably getting the same thing every time because it randomized when you entered the dungeon. It doesn't randomize every time you reload. Robin Hoodtalk 07:47, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
I've only found 1 locked chest, where's the other? But the rest makes sense, I've only initially entered the dungeon once, and went back and forth carrying loot. I haven't been there for my 1.5 runthrough yet.
--DayDreamer 01:52, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
This is just looking at the CK, so it's hard to describe it a bit compared to the "real feel" you'd get walking through it, but one is at the top of a path that roughly spirals up the walls of a tall chamber with a pillar in the middle; if you exit that chamber on the upper level, the first branch to your right eventually leads to a very small room with the other locked wooden chest in it. Robin Hoodtalk 04:00, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Just to clarify a bit, since I'm there now: When you enter that tall chamber from the upper level, there's a broken bridge straight ahead. You have to hop across (don't need whirlwind sprint - a normal jump will do it) then head around the pillar and up to the right. Chest is at the end of that path, just pass where you cross over the spot you entered the chamber. The other chest is on the way back to the entrance after clearing Yngvild Throne Room and exiting that zone through the back door (can't be accessed from the other side until passing through this way, as there's a hidden door opened by a lever on one side only). Soul gemEdit

Removing the soul gem from the pedestal does not make the ghosts to attack the Aroundil. Tried various times and none of them worked, so it mustn't always function - sneaking and taking the gem didn't have any effect on the ghosts and shooting with a well placed arrow or spell only made the enemies present in the room alert. — Unsigned comment by 77.54.93.217 (talk) at 23:49 on 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I can confirm this does not work, even though it is stated both here and on the quest page for the Toying With The Dead quest. Might it be something Bethesda considered a bug an removed through one of the patches? If there are no-one who can confirm otherwise, I think it should be removed from both. --MortenOSlash 21:47, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
The note about the soul gem trick was added by an anonymous user last December who never made any other edits. I think this may have been a coincidental event. I will test it out in a couple of hours and put in my 2 cents. --XyzzyTalk 23:54, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
(Follow up)Knocking the soul gem off the pedestal with an arrow or spell didn't result in the ghost attacking Arondil, but sneaking up and taking it did. I will edit the article accordingly. --XyzzyTalk 04:45, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Discovered something else about it. Knocking the gem off the pedestal simply alerts Arondil and the ghost. After they stop searching, if you then sneak over and pick the gem up off the ground, the ghost will still attack him. --XyzzyTalk 05:08, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Grand Staff of CharmingEdit

I found the Grand Staff of Charming near the chest inside Arondil's bedroom, and not behind the locked chest on the shortcut to the first area. Maybe this information is not correctly written on the walkthrough? Semolo75 (talk) 03:44, 14 September 2013 (GMT)

Confirmed for me too, amended notes. Biffa (talk) 01:15, 25 September 2013 (GMT)

Soul gem on table and potion in bedroomEdit

The article says it's a common soul gem, but I actually ended up getting a petty soul gem. Also, in the bedroom I got a health potion, not a magicka potion. I'm level 36. 66.188.52.103 17:49, 4 January 2014 (GMT)

Mention Deekus in Notes?Edit

I feel like it'd be worthwhile/interesting to mention Deekus either as a "Nearby Quest" sub-section under "Related Quests" or just as a Note re: his character/campsite, similar to how ore veins are mentioned? I realize it doesn't have to do with Yngvild the dungeon and is more about Yngvild the island, but I hadn't been able to find an Yngvild the island page. I just mention this cus while it had been a nice little accidental discovery for me, it would've been useful to have a link directly from here to go to his quest/character page.
