Online talk:Nodes

NirncruxEdit

The page says 'all nodes have a chance to provide Nirncrux' but I've never seen Nirncrux out of an alchemy node. As far as I know it only comes from nodes for wood, metal and cloth (including the Welwa). Is this confirmed? WhiteCoatSyndrome (talk) 00:07, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

It definitely comes from Alchemy solvent nodes. Not sure about reagents. —Legoless (talk) 00:12, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Survey report nodes.Edit

Just hastily noting that the nodes found through survey reports yield extra material, and have the following adjectives to the usual node name:

  • Ore: Rich
  • Reagents: Lush
  • Runestones: Protean (Earlier Dual)
  • Logs: Pristine

I do not at the moment remember the adjective used for clothing material nodes and the new fur trap nodes though. —MortenOSlash (talk) 15:12, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

Clothing is lush. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:11, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
The leather nodes are just "Furrier's Trap", with no adjective. —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:10, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Skill Level dependent NodesEdit

I'm not sure if this is an actual "thing" or not (more research and testing needed), but it appears that material nodes for blacksmithing, clothier, woodworking, and alchemy solvents are dependent on the player's skill level with that craft. More specifically, the type of material that can be harvested seems to be kind of locked to the materials the player is capable of using. A player who can craft Dwarven items, for example, no longer finds Iron or High Iron nodes (or they stop respawning, perhaps both), and finds mostly Dwarven nodes with occasional Orchicalcum nodes. This leads me to believe that the game spawns nodes that are at or one level below the best material the player can currently use. If the player is close to the point where they will be able to raise the material level of the skill, then very occasional nodes of the better material will appear. Someone who can use Cotton will find lots of Cotton and very occasional Spiderskilk, with Spidersilk becoming more common once they can put a point into the materials passive. If so, this should probably be included somewhere on the page. Marstinson (talk) 17:21, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

Yup, the nodes you can find are based on your character's level and the craft's level on that character. A CP160 character with level 1 in Blacksmithing will find Rubedite and Iron ore. -MolagBallet (talk) 18:41, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
