DialogueEdit

Caurdreth and Bruiser

When approached, he'll say one of the following:

Witch-Killer Caurdreth: "Smell something, boy?"
Witch-Killer Caurdreth: "What did you see? A squirrel? A witch?"

Talking to him:

"Hey there. Don't worry, Bruiser is pretty fierce, but he's disciplined."
Giving your dog some exercise?
"Well, sure. But mainly I bring him for protection. You can never be too careful, especially this time of year, what with all the witches lurking about."
Have you had any run-ins with witches?
"Oh, yes! At my own home, no less! There was this strange woman who lived nearby. She kept a lot of cats and always smelled a bit off. She tried to give me a cursed cat-shaped figurine! I set Bruiser on her and he put a quick end to her."
You're sure the figurine was cursed?
"Absolutely. She claimed it was a ward against evil. Which goes to show you how crafty witches can be! But I saw through her deceit and Bruiser dealt with her.
Let that be a lesson to you. Be careful out there!"

Caurdreth and Bruiser being chased away by spectral cats

After this chat, he crouches:

Witch-Killer Caurdreth: "Just a few moments, boy. Then we need to get moving."

If you collected the Cat-Shaped Ward from the Festive Witch encounter, you can give it to him:

You mean this cat-shaped ward? Was this what she offered you?
"This is … where did you find this?
No. No, no…it's him! He's found me! You led him to me!"

The witch hunter panics.

Witch-Killer Caurdreth: "Bruiser, get them! Help me!"

Three ghostly senche will then spawn, chasing Caurdreth and Bruiser away.

NotesEdit

  • Khal H. Hughez (whose name is an anagram for Hha-Lugh-Zhek, the true name of Hollowjack) decries Caurdreth as a murderer.
