He can be found guarding entrance to the laboratory in the Halls of Arkthzand. He summons two Shade Brutes at the start of the fight:
- Verandis Ravenwatch: "Careful! That Nighthollow vampire radiates with the power of the Dark Heart!"
- Mortas: "Vengeance for Lady Belain!"
Upon dying he will summon Shade Colossus and exclaim:
- Mortas: "Witness what a taste of the Dark Heart can do!"
