The Hired Assassin is a mysterious Dark Elf assassin found at Rethan Manor outside Balmora during the related quest. She has killed Benar Rethan, and will yell "Ah, the last piece of the puzzle. Time to tie up loose ends!" before attacking you.
Once she is defeated, her orders can be taken from her corpse, revealing that it was Malur Rethan that was behind the crimes in Vassir-Didanat Mine, and that he hired her to kill Benar with the plan to frame him.

- Quick Strike
