Gatekeeper Malath is a Nord vampire shadow mage and member of the Gray Host. He can found in the western courtyard of Greymoor Keep, just north of its postern gate, during the related quest.
The scroll in front of him allows you to progress through the quest by telling you how to get into the keep's undercroft.

- The enemy slams their staff into the ground, creating a pool of dark energy all around them, indicated by a circular AoE, which lingers for a time and deals constant damage when inside.
- Shadeway
- The enemy casts a spell that launches two slow and heavier-hitting projectiles. This can be interrupted to set the enemy off-balance.
- Shadowy Duplicate
- The enemy teleports a short distance away, leaving a Shadow in their place. The shadow will cast Fright Force dealing minor magic damage until it is killed. When killed, it explodes and leaves a Pool of Shadow in its place.
