Does anyone have the map of the dremer Ruins?

I got lost in the Ruins and there's a big cap where I need to jump but I can't get to the other side of the ramp.--ShakenMike 18:32, 20 February 2007 (EST)

In the original (unexpanded, but fully patched) Morrowind, there was a "bug" which prevented the player from ever getting the Dwemer key after retrieving the box. I put "bug" in inverted commas, since I wrote a mod that should have corrected this if it was truly a bug, but the game just ignored it (and I eventually had to get the key through using the console). So I believe that it was intended as a deliberate frustration for the player, which they had second thoughts about when they brought out the later expansions. (As you might guess, I am not one who thinks that Bethesda is all sweetness and light, and that all strange behaviour and occurrences observed in the game and particularly in mods, including CDTs, can be explained by inadvertent bugs.)195.92.67.66 23:26, 14 July 2007 (EDT)Armod

Strange. Do you have any mods installed that could messa round with that part? I just tried it with plain vanilla Morrowind and Antabolis gave me that key. So while you may have been caught in a bug, it's apparently one of those bugs that just happen - no matter that everything should work just fine. I was looking through the CS and thought that they had screwed up the additem command but -since I got the key nonetheless- it must be working. (Btw, what exactly did your mod do? Or try to fix exactly?) -Meisterdieb 17:20, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Finished or not?Edit

Before I accidentally muck up the fin tags of all our Morrowind quest pages, I'd like to confirm this with someone who also has the CS. On my version when looking at the journal for this quest, A1_2_AntabolisInformant, the "Finished" box isn't tagged for any of the stages. Similarly, most of the other Main Storyline quests are like this. This only seems to be the case for the Main quests; when looking at another quest at random the finished box is always tagged. I'd like to make sure that this isn't just my CS before I make changes to all the quest pages. Thanks - Game LordTalk|Contribs 06:44, 19 April 2008 (EDT)

If a journal entry finishes a quest, then it should be marked with a tick. Check the CS to see which entries finish which quests and when. --HMSVictoryTalk 06:50, 19 April 2008 (EDT)
That's not quite what I meant. I have checked on my CS whether it's marked with a tick or not. It just strikes me as a bit odd that none of the main quests have a tick. What I was asking was for someone else with the CS to check theirs, and see if it's correct that way, or whether my CS is wrong. - Game LordTalk|Contribs 06:53, 19 April 2008 (EDT)
Ok, this might be a stupid question, but do you have plain Morrowind or Morrowind and Tribunal? The journal works differently in vanilla Morrowind than it does with Tribunals journal feature. The quests only "finish" (that is, get ticked in the CS and removed form the Active QuestList in your journal) with Tribunal installed. -Meisterdieb 15:33, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Quest RewardEdit

Ermm... You know, I always had thought that in order to get this quest, you've to ALREADY be a Blade. Maybe we'd better change the reward onto storyline progress or something?

Saint NerevarEdit

Morrowind:Saint Nerevar says that it is needed as part of this quest. If that's true, it seems like it should be mentioned here. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 23:19, 14 May 2013 (GMT)

The book is not needed. Hasphat mentions a couple of books in case you're interested in "Morrowind lore and history" but they are not actually connected to this quest. -Meisterdieb (talk) 21:48, 8 October 2019 (GMT)

Puzzle Box GlitchEdit

I picked up the box and reported back to the informant but the box is no longer in my inventory and he doesn't have a dialog option update. He still describes the box to me as if I haven't picked it up yet. My journal says now I should bring him the box. I tried to add a Dwemer Puzzle Box to my inventory with item code misc_dwrv_ark_cube00 which places a dwemer puzzle box in my inventory, but his dialog still doesn't update. Any ideas to fix? Earlier save is not an option. I'd rather console my way out of it if possible. King Mango (talk) 21:56, 10 November 2013 (GMT)

Ok I figured out I could fix it with the Morrowind Mod:Journal command. King Mango (talk) 00:01, 11 November 2013 (GMT)

Key to ArkngthandEdit

Many players do not know that the key can be laid out. Therefore, the proposal: "The key itself has a huge size, unique look and decorate the treasury of any collector." should be Article
