Ralyn Othravel

Ralyn Othravel is a Dark Elf crusader who works for the Tribunal Temple. He can be found on the upper level of Ghostgate's Tower of Dawn. He is currently the owner of Auriel's Bow, which Mistress Therana of House Telvanni would like to see relieved of his possession. He will not part with it willingly, however, so you'll have to steal it or kill him in order to get it, which can be somewhat inconvenient if you happen to also be a member of the Temple.

He also happens to be in possession of a gavel of the ordinator, one of only two in existence. In addition to his precious weapons, he wears a full set of Indoril Armor as well as a pair of expensive pants and shoes. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows the following spells : Enervate, Vivec's Wrath, Ghost Curse, Lightning Storm, Poisonbloom, Shockbloom and Wearying Touch.

  • The bow can be pickpocketed; Ralyn does not have it equipped. It may take multiple attempts for it to appear in his inventory if your sneak skill is low. See the requisite page for more information.
  • Ralyn uses both ranged poison and shock spells that have an area-of-effect. These spells can damage and even potentially kill a bystander (Selmen Relas, for example). Although this is unlikely to happen if you decide to engage in combat to obtain the bow, keep it in mind because it will be reported as your crime.

Auriel's Bow
"Who told you that? No, nevermind. I don't care. You don't know what I went through to get this bow. I'm not giving it up. Not for you. I have better things to do, %PCRace. Goodbye."
