Symmachus (2E 865 - 3E 391)Edit
- Is this date confirmed, The Real Barenziah and our entries at Arnesian War suggest otherwise. Unless of course the Arnesian war started earlier... Any thoughts? One of the entries would have to be corrected. --Benould•T•C 12:46, 5 August 2008 (EDT)
- I couldn't find a starting date for the Arnesian War. I did find this however from the first PGE: The Arnesian War was one of the many during the troubled time of the Imperial Simulacrum of Jagar Tharn. What started as a simple slave revolt in the House Dres lands of the south built on itself until the swampy plains erupted with blood and fire, pitting Morrowind against Black Marsh. During the chaos, Symmachus was slain, and Barenziah, rightly fearing for her life, fled across the Empire to the High Rock kingdom of Wayrest. The Queen abdicated her throne, leaving it to her uncle Athyn Llethan, a House Hlaalu noble.

- Right, the PGE is of course what I based my edits of Barenziah and Symmachus on. The timeline entry for his death (3E 391) is what I need a source for. Did he die early in the revolt, which then turned into a full-fledged war? Maybe we have to put a range on the Arnesian War, 3E 391 - 396? --Benould•T•C 13:59, 5 August 2008 (EDT)
ShalidorEdit
Is there a source for the claim that Shalidor fought the Rourken "single-handedly" in the Battle of Rourken-Shalidor? I don't think the name itself is enough evidence of that. Shalidor could've simply led others against the Rourken. So if the only source is Tamrielic Lore, I think we need to tweak that. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 03:48, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- The source for that is the book A Minor Maze: "Various tales tell of him battling Dwemer legions single-handedly..." However, the author continues by saying "...many Shalidor legends are hyperbole or outright fabrication..." -- kertaw48 09:35, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
"Unpleasant and emotionally scarring" ?Edit
I believe the exact word that Serana uses for her induction into vampireship is "degrading." Put that together with the fact that Molag Bal is also known as the "King of Rape," and the first vampire was created by him raping a virgin, and it sounds very much like the ceremony involved some sort of sexual abuse. 174.6.51.17 11:37, 4 January 2013 (GMT)
SERANA'S AGEEdit
I have not found this subject anywhere else so here goes. Serana must be a few thousand years old (the game dialog makes it seem a few hundred). Since she did not know about the Empire she must be from the first era or even before. The second era was a thousand something years, the third a not quite one thousand, and two hundred into the fourth era that makes her well over 2000 years old plus whatever time she lived in the first era. And her father suggests they come from a time forgotten, so even before the first era maybe?--Zar Pof (talk) 19:09, 22 February 2013 (GMT)
- Not necessarily. There have been times when there wasn't an empire, in the second era for instance there was no empire. We are on the third empire at the moment. Prior to the third empire, there was a period of around 450 years where there was no empire at all. If she were from that era, she would not know about the empire. This would still make roughly 600 years old, at minimum, which is well within the designation of "a few hundred years". Jeancey (talk) 21:44, 28 February 2013 (GMT)
- Her comment on encountering a Dwemer ruin, (approximately "Is this a dwarven city? Why would they let it get so run down?") implies that she was encased at some point before the Second Battle of Red Mountain (~1E700). Also her dialog about the Cyrodilic Empire suggests that she had never heard of such a thing, which combined with the existence of historical records of each of the Empires, and assuming her family's aristocratic behaviour extends to knowledge of history, implies she predates the earliest known empire. --Earthfiredrake (talk) 21:10, 22 March 2013 (GMT)
- There were actually numerous discussions on the subject including some here and I remember something about her being at least 4000 years old. As EFDrake here just said, everything her dialogue indicates that she is indeed extremely old. 92.136.107.29 23:16, 22 March 2013 (GMT)
- Several of her dialogues reveal her to be likely from the 1st Era. I highly doubt she is only 600 years old. --Jimeee (talk) 23:31, 22 March 2013 (GMT)
- We're all in agreement here, so I made it explicit that she apparently predated the dwarven disappearance. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 00:05, 23 March 2013 (GMT)

- Only one of her dialogues makes it sound like she is from the first era (the bit about Dwemer ruins), everything else is conjecture made by gamers with no understanding of figures of speech. Windhelm being Ysgramor's city doesn't mean Ysgramor was recent memory, and the Alessian Empire collapsed badly without having even united Tamriel. — Unsigned comment by 216.252.75.210 (talk) at 07:32 on 11 July 2013

Provisional datesEdit
More dates of known activity for people previously listed as (?b - ?d) as per this discussion. A couple of minor notes:
- Serana: I avoided the vexed question of when she was actually sealed.
- Emperor Shor-El: The date (vague as it is) is technically unconfirmed, but it's listed on their page.
