Renaming to Gil-Var-DelleEdit
I think this should be renamed to Gil-Var-Delle since that would be more recognizable to readers and it's called that in-game, it will most likely be called that in future games. --Vincentius1 (talk) 00:01, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- I agree; the change to Gil-Var-Delle seems to be a part of the effort to move away from the more ”generic” names from previous games—instead giving them more unique Elven names (like with Torheim Guard being changed to Tor-Hame-Khard in Summerset). Gil-Var-Delle certainly seems to be the name that will be used going forward, and I therefore agree that the page name should be changed to that. —Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 06:31, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think it's particularly necessary, since a redirect seems to be enough, and the Gilverdale spelling is used in the 2920 book throughout all the games, including ESO. But I wouldn't oppose that, either. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 07:00, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

- It's quite clear that Gil-Var-Delle is an intentional retconning of the "correct" name of the location, with Gilverdale presumably being a later Imperial corruption. It isn't the only example of this tendency in ESO, with the Summerset zone having several other such examples previously generic names being replaced by Elvish. I've updated the pagename accordingly per Vincentius1's proposal. —Legoless (talk) 16:43, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
