Marukhati or MaruhkatiEdit

After a question about whether the second spelling needed a sic tag I've found that the majority of sources use hk. These include Glarthir's notes, When the Dragon Broke, Vindication for the Dragon Break, A Life of Strife and Struggle, House Tharn of Nibenay, and The Last King of the Ayleids. I can only find three 'sources' for kh, Glarthir's speech, one of Abnur Tharn's loremaster archives, and the name of the founder, Marukh, for whom the opposite is true, most sources use kh for his name. However, for Marukh, most alternate spellings come from ESO. All-in-all I think there's certainly enough to consider switching hk to be the 'main' spelling of the Selective. This discussion might benefit from being taken on the Community Portal? —MortenOSlash (talk) 04:53, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Don't know if it needs to be taken to the CP, since I feel like it's ultimately going to be a kind of arbitrary decision. I searched all the lore sources I have available, and came up with:
  • "Marukh" 18 uses vs "Maruhk" 8 uses
  • "Marukhati" 3 uses vs "Maruhkati" 42 uses
This is kind of irritating since the most-used variant is different between the prophet and the organization named after him, as Silencer observed. And in two different Loremaster's Archives, both spellings of the Selective are used, while in ESO dialogue, both spellings of the prophet's name are used. And in Glarthir's quest, he references the Selective twice, again using both variants! So it appears even Bethesda doesn't know which way they want to "officially" spell either term. I would personally favor using the same spelling in both terms, and as far as I can tell the "Marukh" spelling is more widespread on the wiki currently. So in the interest of creating the least amount of work for making corrections, I vote for "Marukh" and "Marukhati" officially, while accepting the alternate spellings as also valid (so no sic tags required). -- Hargrimm(T) 16:44, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
