Witch-Lord Kegairn was a powerful Reachfolk necromancer associated with the Ghostsong Clan. He was also a known practitioner of void magic rituals. HistoryEdit

The ritual at Four Skulls Lookout

Little is known about Kegairn's background, save for his title as a Witch-Lord in the Ghostsong Clan and his proficiency in necromancy and void magic. In 2E 582, Kegairn and Voidmother Elgroalif led a faction of the Ghostsong clan, conducting forbidden rituals at Four Skull Lookout.[1][2][3] Their actions included harnessing Namira's power for potentially disastrous ends, and they went as far as abducting innocent Reachmen for their dark ceremonies. These profane rituals inadvertently ruptured the natural fabric of reality, resulting in the release of volatile forces.[1][4]

The Stonehands, a group of Reachfolk answering to Ard Caddach of Markarth, were dedicated to combating various threats in the Reach. Recognizing the Ghostsong clan as a renegade faction, the Stonehands sought aid from wandering adventurers and other individuals to address the impending danger. Their mission encompassed the rescue of innocent captives, the closure of mystical rifts created by the rituals, and the retrieval and disposal of heretical writings documenting the dark ceremonies. In their efforts to counter these disturbances, the mercenaries were equipped with a charm capable of sealing the rifts.[1][5][6] Ultimately, Kegairn and the Voidmother met their demise at the hands of these hired mercenaries. The intervention led to the captives' release, the closure of the ruptures, and the delivery of the ritual notes to the Stonehands for safekeeping and eventual destruction. This brought an end to the looming threat and potential calamity posed by the Ghostsong clan.[7][8][9]
