Honor's Rest is a tomb, built by Orcish, Redguard, and Breton masons after the destruction of the First Orsinium. It serves as the final resting place of Baloth Bloodtusk and Gaiden Shinji, two great heroes and rivals, buried together side by side.[1]
HistoryEdit
They say a bond is formed on the battlefield, even among enemies. Perhaps both sides tired of death in the end." —Lozruth
During, the Siege of Orsinium, King Joile of Daggerfall and his Reachman general, Mercedene of the Winterborn, tricked the Orc hero Baloth Bloodtusk and his Savage Sons, to join King Golkarr of Orsinium. Afterwards, he manipulated Shinji into having a duel with Bloodtusk over Orsinium's fate. The duel was a ruse set up, to take out Orsinium and Hammerfell's greatest Champions. The plot was largely successful, leading to the successful assassination of both Heroes. After their deaths, Bloodtusk's brother Rakoug and Shinji's friend, Lord Trystan decided to build them both a tomb in western Wrothgar. The tomb became known as Honor's Rest. It is built primarily of Orcish architecture; however, Redguard and Breton Elements can be found throughout the tomb.[2]
The tomb was discovered in 2E 582 by a pair of scholars who disagreed on whose tomb it was, and with the help of the Vestige, they managed to unseal the tomb, and experienced visions of Gaiden Shinji's and Baloth Bloodtusk's final moments during the Siege of Orsinium, and discovered the tomb belonged to both heroes.[2]
