Chapter 16: The Restless DeadEdit

The Restless Dead is the second chapter of Act III. You, Tyr, Laaneth, Cassia, and Swims-at-Night make your way through a tunnel to the White-Gold Tower, but encounter a horde of undead along the way.

StrategyEdit

The match consists of one field lane with 6 places where creatures can be played. The Undead opponent starts with a Skeleton and a Haunting Spirit in play. To level the field, you start with a support called Altar of Meridia in play, which allows you to destroy 2 undead creatures during the match. You can play this match very aggressively and use the Altar to generate as much tempo as possible, or you can play conservatively and use the Altar only for their strongest creatures, such as Night Talon Lord, that might give you trouble.

Pre-match:

Laaneth: "Are you sure these crypts will lead us right into the White-Gold Tower?"
Swims-at-Night: "Are you doubting the greatest smuggler in Tamriel?"
Cassia: "It's crawling with the undead."
Swims-at-Night: "Well, if they were safe, everyone would use them."

Game Hint:

The undead lurch forward, their empty gazes fixed upon a strange altar behind you.

During the match:

Laaneth: "I sense mystical power within that altar. Perhaps it can quiet the dead."

Post-match:

Kellen: "Amidst the broken bones of the fallen, the hero spotted an ancient grimoire, filled with the dread secrets of necromancy."
Isha: "Dared they meddle with such foul magic?"
If the player chooses "Take" and the Haunting Spirit card:
Kellen: "Foul, yes... but strong. And those were dire times."
If the player chooses "Destroy" and the Plea to Kynareth card:
Kellen: "No. Some gifts carry too terrible a price."
