Welcome!Edit

Hi! Wow, you really are helping the wiki with your etymology edits! Ever consider making an account? You're obviously focused on helping out the UESP.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 21:18, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

EtymologiesEdit

It's great that you're adding the etymologies to various articles, but there needs to be some clear reason to believe that this was what the developers intended. For example, is there some reason to believe that Frinnius Posuceius comes from the Italian for "to chirp"...does he chirp in-game or have birds or something? If not, then the etymology is only a guess and cannot be kept in the article. On the other hand, if you have supporting evidence for them, please add it to the article and keep up the good work! –I agree, it's interesting and all but I honestly fail to see how most of these posts are actually relevant to the game? And, and only in my opinion, they are detracting from the actual game and UESP wiki experience in that they somehow imply that the game designer had that etymology in mind when they named, or described, the object in question. Please don't take this as a personal attack, its certainly not meant to be taken that way. I agree with Robin Hood that its a fine effort, but in all honesty is it expanding on the wiki entries or it is just adding info for the sake of adding info? Obviously actually researching the etymology details shows a passion, so well done! I trust this comment can be taken in the positive spirit that I intend. Rob-nick 08:29, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
