And outside there's more. The horror. In my slumber, I was at peace. You stole my crown. Why did you have to wake me?" - Ushu-Dimmu
Ushu-Dimmu is a Mummy bound in an ancient burial site beneath Ushu-Kur Mine. He is unearthed and awakened during The Cursed Crown, after the titular object is stolen from his head by you and delivered to Hlaalu Councilman, Tholer Andas. Following his awakening, Ushu-Dimmu begins to feed on the life force of those within the mine, until either you defeat him in combat or return the crown to his head.
Ushu-Dimmu features in the legends of the Ishanuran Ashlander tribe, of whom he was once their Ashkhan. As the tribe's wisewoman Yan-Ahhe explains:
"It is said that in the ancient days he was an Ashkhan of the Ishanuran. He was a great warlord, but he was also envious and fearful. And most of all he feared death and envied the youth of others. He turned to dark magic, stealing the lives of his tribesmen to prolong his own. A male mabrigash. A soul-thief. An abomination. When the remaining Ishanuran realized he could not be killed by club nor spear, they decided to trick him. They lured him deep into the caverns and sealed him inside the prison-burial."
The mummy for his part bears no ill-will against his tribe's actions:
"My people... They were right to betray me. I betrayed them long before they ever did... I made them suffer, I stole their lives. And for what? The power to undo death... What a hollow, cursed thing it turned out to be..."
