Speak to Yontus Kushummu in the Old Ebonheart East Empire Company: Offices.
Either:
- State that you can't help him.
Or:
- Pledge to get Yontus' gold.
- Speak to Quilmaro about Yontus Kushummu.
- Talk to Ma'Shavir.
Or:
- Inform Yontus Kushummu that the factor is ready to see him.
Talk to Cano about Yontus Kushummu.

The reward for this quest varies depending on your choice, with +5 faction reputation, 250 gold and a company uniform if you take the factor option, +0 faction reputation, 200 gold and a company uniform if you say you cannot help, or +5 faction reputation and 250 gold if you try to get Yontus his gold.
Being an apparently strict adherent to the company dress code, Cano will give you the shoes regardless of whether or not you are of a race that can wear them.
