Skyrim talk:The Black Star (item)

Oblivion WalkerEdit

Does this still count as a daedric artifact towards the xbox 360 achievement? — Unsigned comment by 98.117.164.244 (talk) at 20:36 on 29 October 2012‎

Yes, it counts towards the Oblvion Walker acheivement.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 20:38, 29 October 2012 (GMT)
Does it work in the Atronach Forge? If it does, is it consumed, or just drained?--Mixer989 (talk) 15:11, 5 May 2014 (GMT)
The Atronach Forge works on very specific recipes, and the Black Star won't work for those. Robin Hood  (talk) 14:30, 2 May 2014 (GMT)

writingEdit

This article is very poorly written. I'd fix it myself, but I want to get back to Skyrim... 216.246.130.20 21:38, 12 June 2013 (GMT)

While criticism is appreciated to help improve the site, it would be more helpful if you criticized anything specific. Just saying it is "very poorly written" isn't very helpful. While I admit the English isn't the best (especially since I'm fairly certain I wrote this one), please try to offer something more descriptive so that editors who are actually willing to work on it won't have to review the entire article to find any possible flaw. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 22:03, 12 June 2013 (GMT)
Well, like I said I just wanted to get back to Skyrim. My main criticism of the article is that it restates the same thing over and over again. That being it says that it can capture black souls multiple times. 216.246.130.20 00:19, 22 June 2013 (GMT)
Can some other editor look at this? I simply don't see what you're saying. If anything is repeated, it's repeated for good reason (like the note mentioning it can capture both black and white souls to point out you were told it would only capture black souls previously). --AKB Talk Cont Mail 00:23, 22 June 2013 (GMT)
I just read through it and no specific information is really repeated. The phrase "The Black Star" is used in almost every sentence, but that is fairly understandable since that's what the article is about. Forfeit (talk) 00:54, 22 June 2013 (GMT)

Bug means its technically better?Edit

Does the bug mean that this item happens to just be objectively better than the other quest reward?

That might want to be stated in the article. 98.18.8.59 09:36, 9 May 2014 (GMT)

It's clearly stated a couple of times in this article. I've tweaked the wording on The Black Star a bit, though. Robin Hood  (talk) 14:05, 9 May 2014 (GMT)

Bug Black Souls?Edit

I'm sure it has been asked but, what does the CK say about "only Black Souls"? Am on PS3. Thanks. PS4 and ESO coming soon to my household and no more redundant questions. CanuckMan (talk) 20:26, 2 March 2015 (GMT)

There doesn't seem to be any such limitation in the CK at all. I know the people who put out the unofficial patch couldn't find a workaround for it at first, either, but if I recall correctly, someone else found a solution to limit it to black souls and gave the USKP people permission to use it.
